he seems like the real deal in every way and a good guy. definitely a guy I want to root for just because of his mentality and being clean cut, old school. once he started throwing short punches and working the jab it would be very hard for just about any orthadox fighter to be beat him. he should have a field day with froch or gj.
Anyway, it would be cool to see him partially unify in the tournament finals against Froch/Johnson (WBA & WBC)...then further unify with Bute (IBF)...then storm Europe to seize the WBO from whoever has it hostage (likely Stieglitz, if someone hasn't put him through the paper champ shredder by then). Then, there will be nothing left to do. 168 isn't actually that deep outside Bute and a couple of the S6 guys. If he wins all the above fights he should just weight climb as high as he successfully can and try to become a multi-division champion - just icing on the cake after becoming just the second-ever undisputed SMW champ (and the first ever to unify all four belts). It's crazy to think that if Calzaghe had simply fought his IBF mandatory Stieglitz instead of Manfredo (thinking very short-term in trying to sell more tickets) he could have added full four-belt unification to his resume. It just leaves the door open for Ward to make history himself.
If he keeps fighting in Oakland and keeps applying his dirty tactics, then i would love to see him get knocked senseless... If he grows some balls and starts to travel and fights clean (like he did against Abraham) then i say he deserves alot of credit...
Who said that? :huh edit: didn't see the poll. When I first replied to the thread, there was no poll and no pic in the OP.
