If you were Khans Trainer how would you improve his game?

Also who would be his perfect trainer?

For me he needs to be alot more patient. He need to switch to working of a snappy jap. And a jab straight right for alot of his shots. with his chin tucked in.

I'd have him popping the jab, and using his speed frustrating the hell out of opponents with superior speed. Wait till your opponent makes mistakes, then start throwing a few more combos.

Also don't force attachs by jumping in. You have height reach and speed. Fight from range.

Khans Chin is bad, but at the same tie its his fighting style. He jumps in with his chin wide open. when he throws his straigts his chin is exposed.

This can be worked on. Most fighters have there chin tucked away. Garcia got hit alot this weekend. but the chin was tucked in.

For me the perfect trainer that worked with Hearns Lennox and Stewart would be perfect for Khan. Its whether he can afford him.

i think he could be very good again.

an emmanuel steward could turn khan into a great force at 147.

Make him realize he's not a devastating puncher first.

Then make him realize he needs to change his offense/defense ration from 80/20 to 55/45. I'd choose Pedro Diaz or Steward.

This, though without the "great." Khan is exactly the type of fighter that would flourish under Steward. He has the requisite height and overall length, shaky chin, and high skill level to go with a seemingly poor amount of mental strength.

I think if he were to start training with Steward soon, he could win plenty more belts and be a pretty stable force at 140-147. Minus the chin, the kid has loads of talent, way too much talent to be written off just yet and way too much talent to never win another belt. If he were smart he'd have already begun talking to Steward.

The bottom line is that he needs to fight smarter. All three of his loses can be chalked up to not fighting smart.

people writing him off is annoying. Malignaggie went on to win another belt. So can Khan.

Khan had Paul Williams-itis. He tried to overwhelm Garcia with his speed and "power," but forgot to guard his chin. It's like he forgot about the Breidis Prescott fight completely.

he had the ability to destroy garcia. His face was getting carved up in there and it was only the 3rd roand.

Garcia food speed is shocking. khan could have just picked him off and eventually got the the KO.

As soon as he learns that you don't force a KO. just focus on your boxing and the KO will come.
