if Oscar won titles at 130, 135, 140, lost by split decision to Whitaker. Then building up to a rematch Whitaker loses to Tito, then Oscar gets the decision over Tito. He then loses to Quartey in a unification by a close margin.

He then loses to Mosley, goes up to 154, beats Castillejo, beats Vargas, and then gets the nod over Mosley in the rematch.

He then goes to 160, loses to Sturm, goes back down to 154 and beats Mayorga.

So let me sum it up here. If Oscar got the decisions I feel he shouldve gotten:

    UD12 by Whitaker
    UD12 over Tito
    UD12 by Quartey
    UD12 over Castillego
    KO10 over Vargas
    UD12 over Mosley
    UD12 by Sturm
    KO5 over Mayorga

how differently would you view Oscar? how differently would his career be viewed in general?

I thought that Oscar beat Tito, and Sturm, the second fight with Shane to me was a toss up. I wasnt sure who won that fight. Had he lost the fights to Whiitaker and Quartey Oscar would have been seen as a better fighter now...I say that because I dont think that he would have fought some of the crap fighters that he fought, and it would have kept him more interested longer.

I don't think it'd be viewed any different honestly, it seems like alot of people already rank him according to your projected outcome.

No different really cause for the most part people already view him as a guy who lost to Quartey,Whitaker,Sturm but won the Mosley rematch or it was a draw not a impressive fight for either and for sure beat Trinidad. Thats how I look at his career anyway.

No different. What's on paper doesn't change my opinion, I had him losing to Whitaker, Quartey and the Trinidad fight was close and could have gone either way, and of course he lost to Sturm.

I hate how what's held in the hands of corrupt judges reflects people's views on the record.

Judges' decisions don't really play a part in how I rank a fighter. Judges have proved altogether too unreliable over the years and its best to judge fighters by how you scored the fights rather than how the judges did.

That said, with the exception of the Quartey fight, which I thought was a draw, I already hold DLH to the position Illmatic presents.

I had him winning against Whitaker and Quartey. Also defeating Trinidad. But losing the second Mosley fight and also losing against Sturm.

Well on my scorecards he only lost to Mosley the first time and he had a draw with Mayweather. (plus the KO by Hop)

Oscar was cheated by the judges because Don King and Bob Arum did not want him to win. Why? Because they did not approve of Oscar being a promoter, they have neve forgiven him. I had Oscar beating Tito, no doubt about it. I had Oscar beating Mosely 7-5 in the first fight and the rematch, no contest, Oscar won, it was not even close.

So you thought he beat Sturm? Surely not.

Slightly higher than now. Defeating Trinidad and avenging Mosley loss would have made him p4p top 3.

I wouldn't change it all that much. But if he had lost certain fights, then other fights that he was in might've not materialized.

Anyway, I have Oscar drawing with Whitaker, losing to Ike and Sturm, and winning against Tito and the Mosley rematch.

All the fights would materialize. Oscar can fight whoever he wants to fight despite the losses.
