Listen, I know this topic has been done to death, but I haven't seen a fresh one for awhile, and these kinds of topics can be very educational when people come in and throw out fights others have never heard of, many fights I've watched have gotten my attention from these kinds of topics, I've been working on this list for awhile now, and it's not done, there are fights I still need to watch again and rank, but here goes.
Fights that just miss the list:
    Bobby Chacon vs Danny Lopez
Israel Vazquez vs Rafael Marquez II
    Salvador Sanchez vs Wilfredo Gomez
    Ray Leonard vs Wilfred Benitez

40- Micky Ward vs Reggie Green
39- Marco Antonio Barrera vs Erik Morales III
38- Bobby Chacon vs Rafael Limon III
37- Wilfredo Gomez vs Lupe Pintor
36- Frank Fletcher vs Clint Jackson
35- Kevin Kelley vs Troy Dorsey
34- Julio Cesar Chavez vs Meldrick Taylor I
33- Matthew Franklin vs Ritchie Kates
32- Nigel Benn vs Gerald McClellan
31- Ray Mancini vs Duk Koo Kim
30- Julio Gonzalez vs Julian Letterlough
29- Matthew Franklin vs Marvin Johnson II
28- George Foreman vs Ron Lyle
27- Jack Dempsey vs Luis Firpo
26- Arturo Gatti vs Wilson Rodriguez
25- Erik Morales vs Manny Pacquiao I

19- Diego Corrales vs Jose Luis Castillo I
18- Robert Quiroga vs Akeem Anifowoshi
17- Arturo Gatti vs Micky Ward III
16- Riddick Bowe vs Evander Holyfield I
15- Marvelous Marvin Hagler vs Tommy Hearns
14- Joe Frazier vs Muhammad Ali I
13- Roberto Duran vs Sugar Ray Leonard I
12- Danny Lopez vs Mike Ayala
11- Matthew Saad Muhammad vs Alvaro Lopez II
10- Carmen Basilio vs Tony DeMarco II

8- Aaron Pryor vs Alexis Arguello I
7- Archie Moore vs Yvon Durelle I
6- Somsak Sithchatchawal vs Mahyar Monshipour

4- Erik Morales vs Marco Antonio Barrera I
3- Micky Ward vs Arturo Gatti I
2- Bobby Chacon vs Rafael Limon IV
1- Muhammad Ali vs Joe Frazier III

Now there are some fights not listed, ones I need to watch again in order for fair assessment (Leonard Hearns I & Robinson LaMotta VI come to mind)
I'm sure my list is gonna stir controversy by me looking it over, I'm just looking for other people's lists and healthy debates, maybe even hints on fights I should give a watch.

Good effort. Like that you have Matt Franklin-Richie Kates in there. Great War! Tough job making lists like this, way too much effort for me. But I appreciate the guys who do it.

I will stop there. You encouraged me to add some pick that I truly love instead of trying to impress people. Thanks. Nice list BTW. My top ten is ranked, everthing is losely ranked as I though of them.

I know what you mean by studying and/or appreciating a fight for the styles.
Chavez vs Rosario is a masterful display of breaking your opponent down by way of inside fighting

Have you posted this exact list on other forums? Cause I know that I've seen this list before, written just as you did, with the chronological dates and weight classes.

Here two or three times. Once on the Joe Rogan Forum, in the combat sports section, and once at Sherdog.

If you have never seen the series of fights that took place between Bobby Chacon, Cornelius Boza Edwards, Rafael Limon, and Rolando Navarette, I could not suggest more highly any fights in history to watch other than these. And if you have seen them, HOW are they NOT fights you watch over and over!? Haha
