He would rank very high, but he might always be underrated for two reasons:

    1. People don't appreciate a very effective fighter if he doesn't use elegant textbook technique. Abraham doesn't need a lot of fancy movement with his body mechanics, he is very hard to hit and finds his openings, yet people compare him to someone with a different style and criticise him.

    2. Past fighters have the added legend/myth of history on their side. Plus, some fighters just have so much starpower, it is very difficult to even discuss if a mere mortal like Abraham could beat them or be compared with them. Anyone suggesting Abraham could beat Hearns would be ridiculed, but in reality, Abraham is probably a better fighter and harder puncher than Barkley.

It's got nothing to do with not liking Dawson, it's to do with the fact you were wrong.

Those guys don't compare ... Calzaghe retired the undisputed champion of the division with over 20 title defense ... I don't think anything he could do in the super six or against Chad Dawson would equal to that. Compare some guys who Calzaghe would demolish (in the super six) and the fact that he beat 2 Hall of Famers to close out his career is just amazing. I don't see any future hall of famers (as of now) in the super six. And I don't think Dawson is on his way quite yet ... he just cracked the p4p top 10. I think shall Dawson become the udisputed/universally recognized champion of the LHW division and remain undefeated ... should Abraham remain undefeated and beat him, still wouldn't rank him up there with this era's best fighter.

    Tito
    DLH
    Mayweather
    Jones
    Hopkins
    Tarver
    Calzaghe
    Mosley
    Johnson
    Ottke
    Erdei
    Michalczewski
    Holyfield
    Lewis
    Klitschko bro's

... the list goes on and on and on

    He's not better than pavlik
He's not this era's best middleweight, supermiddleweight, or light heavyweight so why would he be ahead of them all time?

I don't even think he can beat Pascal or Froch !!

Are all of your posts this imbecilic?

I keep getting surprised by Abraham but it's still too soon to judge.

Silly thread. Bute would box Abraham's ears off. Dawson would stand him on his head and **** in his shoes. Pavlik would beat him pillar to post and leave him slumped in a corner. If you want to go back a few years there are numerous guys at 160, 168, and 175, that would treat AA far worse than Pavlik, Bute, or Dawson would. Abraham will never appear in the top 500 of any legitimate ATG list.

bute can't take a punch from good punchers, how will he react if abraham catches him???:rofl
pavlik would give abraham a tough fight at 160, at 168 abraham would murder him, about dawson i have no idea, cause he is very tall, long reach, but no chin. Abraham is a little like julian jackson, except he has an iron chin and good defense and the same power.
and to all calzaghe supporters, yeah calzaghe would win a wide ud, and hopkins would school abraham, but i asked something different, what if, there was no talk about calzaghe

bad post. If it happens, it would mean:

Abraham: Jermain Taylor, Andre Direll, Carl Froch, + semi and final and Chad Dawson.

Ottke: Mundine, Krajnc and robberies against Larsen and Reid.

Benn: Draw against Eubank, win against McClellan and losses to Collins and Malinga.

    Those two are off.
