How would you rate David Price's power?

He wasn't decked by either though. The way Fury goes on you'd have thought he woke up ten mins later.

As an Am he would stop throwing when he was moving backwards. In the Pro's I need to see him pressured so I can see how he responds, but he looks very good and his power is top notch!!!

 

I've seen him decked, can't remember where though. I don't think he can handle swarming fighters. He works fine with guys who stay on the outside, but aggressive fighters who come foward cause him problems and have done throughout the ams.

Nothing in his pro fights suggests to me that this wont still be the case.

But I hope I'm wrong, as he seems like a good lad and I like his jab and he does indeed have really good power in the right hand.

 

There are quite a few videos out there of him in his amatuer days getting rocked and stopped.

I don't have the time to look for them right now but i've seen them so i know they are definitly out there.

Once he is hurt thats it. His ability to recover from a decent shot is terrible.

Its a shame really as he has the size, skills and power to go far. If you can't take a decent shot though and especially at heavyweight then you are in trouble.

 

He needs to look at how Vlad fights and how effective that can be for a Guy of his stature. As mentioned before he has a good jab so he should be able to keep smaller swarming fighters off.

 

Let's see him spark someone of note first.

 

Cammarelle dropped and stopped him in the Olympics, but then he is f'n class.

 

Whoa, now that is damning. Stiverne SUCKS! (as a pro, at least)

 

I thought he lost on points.

But Stiverne had him all over the shop and walloped him good numerous times :-(

Larry Holmes was stopped many times as an amateur. Tua stopped with the first punch by Savon.

Unlike those guys, Price doesn't look all that confident as a pro'. Going nowhere IMO.

Pricey has serious power as well as the effective style to not get hit much.which after all is the art of boxing isn't it guys ? He will win a world title in the next 18/24 months . Shame about the rib injury a couple of weeks ago, but one things for sure there is a big year ahead for pricey in 2012
