How would you rate it compared to Oscar, Cotto and Clottey as none have really been able to hurt Manny, so do you think Mayweather has the power to do so?

I rate his precision more dangerous than Cotto's brute strength.

His power may be slightly lower than Clottey's, and certainly lower than Cotto's.

However like Boxed Ears above me has mentioned, physical strength and power isn't what Manny should be worried about. It's Floyd's precision and accuracy that will be the problem. For the first time, he'll be on the recieving end of shots he won't see coming

I think he looked a lot more powerful, and physically stronger against Mosley...than he has in all of his 147lbs outings before that. But like Boxed Ears has already said, his accuracy is the big key for him in possibly wearing Pacquiao down and hurting him.

As noted, pinpoint punches he throws are more damaging even though he isn't throwing as powerful punches as say Cotto. He can put on a major accumulation of punches.

the sharpness, timing , accuracy and counter punching of floyd will be far more dangerous for manny than actual power, manny is gonna be open for the straight right all night

I love Cotto, but I don't think his power is as lethal as is being made out on this thread. Watch the Margarito fight, he was hitting Margo with everything but the ref for five full rounds (ok, thats an exagerattion, but that left hook was landing at will), and he couldn't hurt him. I think Oscar had the best power of the 3. His left hook and right hand were lethal in their day. HOWEVER, he didn't seem to have it in the Pacquiao fight. So, on their fight nights with Pac, Cotto may well have been the harder puncher.

Floyd hasn't had any hand problems for quite some time. Manny's chin doesn't have to give out for him to get stopped either.

His power is probably lower than all, maybe the same, its hard to say, but his precision is 100 times better than the lot of them and precise clean shots hurt an opponent and he will hurt Manny, no doubt about it

Couldn't have said it better, brother. He's not exactly feather fisted when he sits on his punches. So his accuracy combined with his speed + accumulation of punches could really end up rocking some of the toughest opponents if he really set out to do it.

Thats a very vauge question and also very hard to answer.

For a long time i dont think we have seen Mayweather really sit down on a punch due not having to need to do so to get the nod. The only reason he came on strong with Mosely, and the same reason that he will do with Pac, is because he knows that they will walk through and instantly hit back unless they are genuinly hurt.

In the mosely fight i really was impressed with his power and alround strength. You saw what he did to mosley who has one of the best chins in the game IMO And also what he did to Marquez.....when he could actually be bothered to sit down on a punch.

Put it this way.... He has more than enough power to stun and possibly Knockdown Pac, but not enough to one punch KO him. I guess thats why you are asking this question?
