He has more power than Clottey and the Oscar Manny fought. He's not on Cotto's level when it comes to power.

I think Mayweather's power is actually underrated, he's not a one punch KO artist or anything but his punches have hurt the majority of his opponents and he has given a few people a beatdown like Hatton, Judah and Mosley.

People often judge his power by his KO ratio which doesn't tell the whole story and see him as feather fisted from that, the truth is he often doesn't throw enough instead of going for the kill and is happy to cruise fights using only his C game.

If he had stepped it up there's no doubt in my mind that he could have stopped Mosley and Marquez.

I think he maybe could have stopped Marquez if he threw more...but I actually think he wanted to stop Mosley.

I think he did for a time but then when he came out for the 11th he eased off a little and wasn't looking to do anything stupid to throw the fight away.

Knowing how solid Mosley's chin is you could see how hurt he was by some of Mayweather's punches.

I loved this quote from Mosley after the fight...

“I was getting my bell rung pretty darn good,” Mosley admitted, “and then, in the middle of the ninth round, it occurred to me that ‘I don’t have to put with this ****. I just had a flash that I could live a simple pastoral life on the hillsides of Switzerland, maybe get me some sheep.”

Better than Clottey but not better than Cotto and Oscar.

His power had JMM hurt and rocked on a few occasions. Which isn't exactly something to be impressed by, considering JMM was 2 divisions smaller, and was even reeling from a Juan Diaz left hook months before.

In this Mosley fight, yes he was more aggressive and smacking his opponent about more than usual. But again, this was more to do with Mosley's exhaustion. He was way too tired to anticipate, block, and take the shots to the face well. When the body goes, the head does too. Luck for Mosley he at least had that toughness, which allowed him to hear the final bell.

But with that said, Floyd's precision is definately worth respecting. His speed, timing, and choice of punch has the potential to knock Pac off balance and make him touch the floor, if Pac's not careful.

Money's power is decent enough to keep fighters at bay especially wen countering (i.e. Mosley, Hatton, Delahoya, Baldomir, Juduh)
In fact if you watch the fight against the late-great Gatti you will be able to draw these comparisons with the beating Mosley took.
Furthermore look at wen Oscar hit Floyd clean and compare that to wen Floyd hit Oscar, (Floyd's punches hurt more).
I don't think overall Floyd hits harder in terms of pure punching power than Oscar, Clottey, Cotto or Hatton, But Speed + Accuracy+Timing= sum one hurt

PBFs power has always been underrated. Mosley who has a solid chin looked hurt by a few of his shots.I think around the 7th round.

I picked better than all the 3 and my reasoning for that is that when Pac fought Cotto his power and speed just werent the same as pre Margarito.
When he fought Oscar well there is nothing to say about that. He was fighting the shell of a dynamic puncher.
Clottey is a pretty hard puncher too but i think PBFs speed makes his punches more hurtful.

Im predicting a PBF TKO if this fight does come off.
Can Pac take punches like what he took in the second JMM fight in the second round all fight long?
I dont think so. Pac wont see the punches and he will get rocked with PBFs superior power.

In terms of raw power, PBF does not have the left hook of ODLH, the body shot of Cotto or the uppercut and straight of Clottey.

In terms of technique and timing his punches are better than Cotto and Clottey. ODLH's old left hook is better than any of PBF's punches, though his hook check is comparable in regards to effectiveness.
