Why does Margarito get so much hype as an opponent for Floyd when the same Mosely who destroyed him got spanked by Floyd? Is it just because Pacquiao fought and beat him?

ROFL mayweather knew mosley was going to take a break and he jumped on mosley at that time knowing full well mosley already had plans of taking a break he was coming of 3 hard fights..................even than mosley said he would fight him in jan but floyd refused

if i say to lets fight on Christmas day in mars doesn't mean i really want the fight because i know its not possible

Fact is, A great resume is half willingness and half timing. A guy like Ray Leonard came around at a great time, he was around when Roberto Duran, Tommy Hearns and Marvin Hagler were all active, but his resume is so impressive because he was willing to fight all of them, and he beat all of them. Ali was active when Foreman and Frazier were around

Fact is, there is no genre defining fighter who was fighting around Mayweather's weight that he could fight besides Pacquiao, and now he's fighting Pacquiao. It stinks, but that's the way it is. Same as Wladimir Klitschko, who is as good as any heavyweight who ever lived, but isn't rated by snobs because he isn't fighting great fighters. Sometimes, you are the only great fighter in a field full of good fighters.

Yeah, the fact of the matter is that Floyd and Manny's only real elite opponents are each other.

    It's

    Floyd/Manny
    _
    _
    _
    Everyone else.

Dude Zab Judah is a 2-division 5-time champ, his comp and accomplishment's are greater than Margarito. Judah/Baldomir, Hoya/Hatton happened in 06/7" respectively name something Margarito had done then to make him a better win?

Everyone has there opinion on May-Pac its here now a win in 10" would be a big difference. But officially Pacquiao turn down the fight and signed to fight a lesser opponent 2 day's later.
Martinez in 11" would have been huge @160, I can agree but the most he said was it would be an "interesting fight". A WW can't duck a MW.

People want to talk about fight's that would actually help would be Casamayor/Frietas/Lazcano @ SFW/LW, Tyszu@ JWW
Outside of Manny, Tyszu the guy's they say Mayweather ducked either A)aren't as good as the guy's he's fought or B)previously ducked him to a time most beneficial.

Not possible?? ...because Mosley planned on taking a break?

Yet aren't you among those who dump on Floyd not pursuing the Manny fight while retired? :rofl

Once you add Pacquaio, it becomes a first class resume.

The big question mark is around Khan though - he is running from Khan.

He doesn't need to fight Khan. He could fight Bradley, Brook, or Thurman.

The fact Mosley and Pacquiao both beat Margarito should be an indicator that margarito would mean nothing..add nothing to Floyd's resume. Just another slow come forward fighter as they like to say.
