Would you believe my bloody electricity went! Was really looking forward to the show. What did you guys think of the card?
6/10. Was better on paper, unfortunately few of the fights were competitive but it was still entertaining for me. Thought the production was the best I've seen from a Boxnation show. Great to see Tank fight on UK soil because I don't think we'll see it again tbh.
I quite enjoyed it whilst it lasted. Good to see Dubois and Yarde out again, then the tank fight was good to see. I started watching from the Dubois fight, but I think sonny Edwards fought.. anyone know how it went? Seen it was his first KO and he's a good prospect for the future!
7/10. Obviously the main event wasn't too competitive, but a good performance from Davis & a good show overall. Looking promising for future Boxnation shows with the BT Sport partnership if the last few shows are anything to go by.
Was good decent scraps and least all the pundits weren't just constant bigging up fighters and a bit of difference of opionon always good see. Piggord fight was good what a chin but Christ absolutely no defence
Improving sharp. Fight of this magnitude I thought would of been in an arena bigger than 8000. However, onwards and upwards, matchmaking in general much better viewing on BT than sky, lord knows who does matchrooms matchmaking as it is no longer john wisch as he left to go to Poxon sports
This is fantastic for British boxing. Something tells me Warren is going to make a big succes of this. He's done marvellous to get this far and this is only the beginning. I'm prefering the BT stuff recently to sky non ppv cards. More competitive fights on BT, similar level of production to sky but less of the show business bull****. Sky have done a terrific job with boxing no question but I'm loving the touch of the old school off BT. Less bull****.
I was that guy who never watched Frank Warren cards but I've realised that boxnation has been steadily improving in terms of production and fighters. Boxnation is a project that'll take time, not the finished article that matchroom is.
Yes we can probably forget about seeing Tank or Floyd, seen as though people were spitting on them. Fkin cretins. Ryan Walshs fight wasnt too bad. The rest of the bouts were nothing to write home about but i suppose fighters need learning fights to bring them on. Overall though im happy with BT boxing.
Half gassed watching it again last nite tbf. Cant see it ever beating matchroom with production etc it is coming on tho. At least frank looks to have a couple of fighters that he can develop into a bit of an attraction. With dubois and yarde. Just a pity we dont wake up to social media to hear anything about it even if it was against a guy totally outmatched. Frank needs to get the social media side of things going...its a massive part of hearns game. I bet most people didnt even know mayweather was in the uk the other day or none of the davis story. Or even that the boxing was on. Missed a bit of an oppertunity. Atm it seems for the hardcore...needs to try and breakthrough to the casuals more. Not that much difference in terms of competetive in the bouts as opposed to a standard matchroom card. But in fairness to both of them they need somewhere to stick on fights with guys that are maybe developing. The davis fight should have been a good one...dont think warren expected him to be as good tho. Probably 6/7 out of 10. Half decent card that could have potentially been very good with the main event.
Im so sick of seeing the matchroom cards and felt like i was watching the same fighters against the same opposition all the time. BT sport is a breath of fresh air so far and i enjoy the punditry a lot more - some funny characters who seem to tell it how it is.
Absolutely mate The BT cards are a breath of fresh air and there are always a couple of cracking fights such as the Pig last night. Compare last night to the Brum card last week and BT is really rogering Sky now on their non PPV boxing. Also great not to have boring Paul Smuff spouting the same shyte week after week.
I enjoyed it, even my bird who isn't into boxing enjoyed it because the fights were enjoyable - especially Pigford-Morgan. Ritchie and Buncey clashing at the end was great too. Although Buncey had been chatting pure aids earlier on the night. Give more time to Barry Jones or at least stick him on commentary with Rawlins. Macintosh isn't needed either
