Lewis to me was an excellent boxer who showed he had what it took to be on top. 2 loses, revenged both because he got the rematch. On my list I would have him 11th or 12th on the ATG list. I would not have him in the top ten. Do you agree with this listing, or do you think he would make your top ten list and why? Thanks for any input you may have on this. :think
he is in my top 10 heavies and my top 20 p4p he has to be. his resume is great. plus even a fat untrained lewis owned quitali quitschko.:good
Top 10 ATG...just look at his record - how many world title fights and how many wins. He has to be top 10 ATG based on what the record books alone say. Say you compare a Foreman or Fraziers world title fights to Lewis's...Lewis has more world title fights and won more also. And to me as good as Marciano was for example and Dempsey they wouldn't IMO have had a chance against Lewis. To small, and especially in Dempseys case no real skills comparitively. His skills back then were primitive.
it depends to me he is top5 hw all time. im not sure which positon when you take into consideration p4p you have to rate their opponent they beat. title reign and also how there fighting style would come into place against other fighters etc id rate him in top 30 for sure.
Top ten without question. IMO he doesn't break into the top 3 nor does he deserved to be ranked at 10.
just my opinion, some might ask who did tyson beat? pushing the top 10 would be dempsey, frazier, walcott, vitali, bowe imo
Top 7 without a doubt imo. He's in my top 5 and a case can be made to put him at 3. One of the deepest resumes out there.
Cleveland Williams, Patterson, and Valdes were all awesome fighters and he clobbered all of them. Zora Folley, Eddie Machen, and Leotis Martin to name a few had good names too. Sonny Liston was indeed a bad mofo. He ranks very high IMO. Lewis ranks bottom half of top 10 ATH's
