Who do you think beats Floyd at each of the weights he fought at, if anyone? If as you get higher, the list becomes pretty long, name either the best fighter you'd think he'd beat and/or the worst he'd lose to.

140 and under unbeaten with a few close ones.
147/54, he’s competitive but catch L’s to some of the elite elite just due to natural size.

You think he'd beat Duran, Armstrong and Chavez?

Armstrong I can’t make a fair assessment I really just know reputation..
Duran and Chavez tho were actually 2 fighters I thought of when I said he’d have a few close fights below 140, prime Floyd was an animal tho, could fight aggressively and bang you outta there, or could fight defensively outbox you and white wash you that way. 130/35 I think Floyd pulls out a close grueling fight and the higher in weight they fight the easier the fight gets

although i agree with you, floyd's win over canelo is going to bring him into the argument for fights below 154.

He's my number one at super-featherweight. Pacquiao, Arguello and Canzoneri are the top guys who'd contend with him, but I think he's almost perfect stylistically for all three of them. He'd potentially have issues with Saddler, Chavez or Fenech but I think he pretty clearly beats them - likely first time round, and utterly dominating rematches.

I pick him to lose to Chavez, Duran, Whitaker and Armstrong at 135. His troubles with Judah make me think that he has tons of issues with Whitaker, and in a battle of two counter-punchers, I tend to like the one with the better jab - which is Sweet Pea. Duran, Chavez and Armstrong are so bad for Mayweather that it's untrue - no-one who's having issue with Castillo, Maidana, Chavez, Hatton, Cotto, etc; is going undefeated vs these three. He'd probably beat the rest, best for best.

140 is a harder for Floyd, because there's guys who're bad for him stylistically and they're getting to the point where they're getting bigger go him. That said, I only really think he'd lose to De La Hoya, Pryor, Napoles and the same guys I've already mentioned.

The best guy I'd take Floyd over at 147 is probably Trinidad. That's a solid top twenty five guy, and guys like Cokes, Broulliard and Corbett III join him. Someone like Curry is probably the worst fighter who'd somewhat comfortably beat him IMO.

154 is pretty obvious that he loses to the very best there, but if he beat someone like Terry Norris, or Julian Jackson, I wouldn't be that surprised. Same with El Feroz.

I find it very hard to be happy picking Floyd over Chavez or Duran after seeing the troubles he had with Castillo and Maidana, as well as others in lesser quantities.

I'd love to see the Duran who savaged Davey Moore in the ring with Canelo at 154. Be a miracle if Canelo made it 10 rounds.

As you go higher? The list gets longer the lower in weight you go, IMO.

130: Saddler smokes him if 1950s rules are in effect... prime Arguello and Camacho would make it difficult, Lomachenko would be interesting.
135: Armstrong, Ike Williams and 70s Duran for sure, Whitaker and Mosley would be 50/50s. JCC and Pac are tailor made for Floyd, imo.
140: Pryor for sure, Taylor has a shot with his speed, prime ODLH
147: Leonard, Robinson, Gavilan, Mantequilla... Hearns would be a 50/50 and I wouldn't bet against Griffith
154: He'd have to run against killers like Jackson, McCallum and Norris, but Floyd's speed gives him a better chance at 154 than 147 imo... Paul Williams and Maravilla would've been his 2 toughest fights north of 140, too bad they didn't go down.

Floyd only loses in hypothetical matches. In real fights all he did was win.

So is that your answer? That no fighter ever from 130 to 154 beats Floyd Mayweather?
