How would you rate Sergey Kuzmin's chin / durability?

I was unsure of how good his durability / chin was, before he fought David Price. But David Price is a known power puncher. He's one of the hardest hitting heavyweights today. Despite his other flaws, his punching power has never been in question. Proving just how hard he hits, time after time, even in fights he lost in, such as in his last bout against Povetkin when he dropped the durable and previously never stopped Povetkin with a single left hook before getting KO'ed himself. he has also KO'ed many other opponents more brutally than anybody else has.

However, Sergey Kuzmin not only managed to take all of David Price's punches without not only getting dropped, but without even getting stunned / badly hurt once, whilst also managing to walk through most of Price's punches whilst showing very little to no effect of being hurt / badly damaged.

This is a Price who with one clean short left hook, literally made Povetkin go flying backwards multiple feet, dropping him in the process. Not even Joshua managed this same feat or showed this level of power. Since Joshua needed multiple follow up punches AFTER stunning / hurting Povetkin with his right hand to finally drop him. Whilst Price not only dropped Povetkin with just ONE punch / left hook, but also sent Povetkin a long way back with that one punch. Displaying how much one punch power he possesses.

But Price landed similar punches on Kuzmin and Kuzmin took those punches far better than Povetkin did, without getting dropped / stunned / badly hurt.

So does that mean Sergey Kuzmin has proven his durability / chin to be of elite caliber now? Since nobody should be able to fight a power puncher like David Price the way he did, without being extremely durable.

Nonsense. Price isn't that big of a puncher. Povetkin was caught in poor balance but didn't go down. The ref gave him a count. Kuzmin is easy work for anyone in top-10.

Price KO'ed Audley Harrison more brutally than Deontay Wilder. Price also KO'ed Michael Sprott more brutally than Joshua did. Price has LITERALLY KO'ed multiple opponents unconscious. He's as big a puncher you could get.

David Price's punch was what made Povetkin go off balance. It was the power of his punch. Only Wladimir Klitschko hit Povetkin as hard as Price did. Joshua's hardest punch only stunned Povetkin and didn't result in an immediate knockdown like Wladimir Klitschko's and David Price's punches did.

This is not how well he would do. But how well he takes a punch. So him being beaten by other top 10 members via decision is irrelevant.

Price can crack. That is something that he is world class in. Besides the KD, there was another time where Price clearly stun Povetkin.
Price is a fine puncher, too bad it's all he has.

Who has price koed? I think this myth about Price being a world class puncher is a myth too. He looked a puncher coz he fought bums, he had Hammer down but he was able to get back up, he caught Povetkin with a good shot but he wasn’t really hurt. He never had Kuzmin seriously hurt at any point and he caught him with some good shots.

Price didn't really land clean on Kuzmin from what I remember but I think he still buzzed him a couple of times.

I wasn't impressed by Kuzmin tbf, any of the top dogs chew him up and spit him out, him against Povetkin in April could be a possibility.

Price's inability to KO higher level of opposition is more down to his poor chin, stamina and skills, than his lack of punching power. His poor durability and stamina causes him to lose, before he is able to KO his opponents.

And his inferior boxing skills, prevents him from landing his big shots as frequently as other guys.

But even if we look at his knockouts over low level opposition, he's still knocked most of them out more brutally than other guys who are ranked higher than him.

David Price showed greater one punch power against Povetkin than Anthony Joshua did. Price had him down with a single punch and made him go multiple feet backwards. Whilst Joshua had to land entire combinations to drop Povetkin.

Povetkin was definitely hurt by that Price punch and probably would've been out if there was over a minute left in that round.

Well if he has never even stopped one good pro why would I believe he has big power?

    Povetkin wasn’t hurt though

Grade A. Kuzmin can take a punch. This was shown in the Amateurs and pro's. His main drawback is speed and reach.

Povetkin was very old by the time he meet Price.

Because power isn't ONLY determined by a boxer's ability to knock out 'good' opponents. Knocking out good opponents takes more than just punching power. Such as durability, offensive skills and stamina. Attributes that David Price obviously lacks.

Power can also be determined by how a boxer performs against lower ranked opponents. And if he is knocking most of them out more brutally than other boxers are, even other higher ranked boxers are, then it means this guy hits hard or harder. Not everybody can KO a bum as brutally as each other you know!

I think his main drawback is a lack of boxing IQ. He is extremely one-dimensional fighter. Hrgovic looked like prime Ray Robinson comparing to Kuzmin against the same version of Amir Mansour.

I'd say speed, reach and athleticism are his biggest drawbacks. How exactly is he not smart? I think he fights the way that's best for him

But like I said he's durable, with modest skills and some power. The better skilled but less durable fighters can be upset by the likes of Kuzmin.
