It was an attempt out of desperation.

actually once again, its basic logic.

There is no way in hell Oscar was weighing 147 for weeks before the fight. You'd have to be really naive to believe that.

the ****ing odds have no outcome on the fight...

what if pacman (who was the favorite) tore his acl an hour before the fight but decided to fight threw it and hatton destroyed pacman......

    the odds would be irrelevant

You're acting like if Oscar wasn't dehydrated, he would've won the fight.

On one of the later episodes of Pac-DLH 24/7, (1 week before the fight, probably) they showed Oscar weighing in a 155 lbs before he did a full 12 round sparring session.

After the 12 round session, he weighed in at 145.

It would be stupid of their camp to maintain weight of under 147 lbs. if they know that they can physically go down to 147 with just honest training and with no need to do steam room sessions and food/water deprivation.

I really feel that they weighed in at 150++ lbs. by the time Oscar got into the ring that fight night.

Just shut up. If he would win, I would say probably not. Would Pacquiao have looked that good though? Hell no!

To put it simple, if the odds favor one fighter and the other fighter wins easily, you should ****ing discredit the win..

    So what's your point?

If Pac had moved up three divisions instead of two to fight Oscar, he would have won but he wouldn't have looked so amazing doing it?

    Ok Jeff. Solid point. Hater

Hey of you think ODLH weighed more then Pac should be able to fight Cotto or Mosley at 147, not a catch-weight, right?

pacman hasn't fought a competitive opponent since jmm. maybe he thinks floyd would take care of jmm for him and win or lose vs. floyd it would be a much easier fight for him since floyd is a defensive fighter. castillo and jesus chavez were not exactly very technical fighters, but gave floyd very tough fights. floyd is gonna need some high strength benadryl for the asskicking he's gonna receive from jmm.

Manny had never fought at lightweight before and David Diaz was a natural lightweight and lightweight champion. Was he really a safe choice for Manny's lightweight debut?

Yeah, he was an easy way to win a title. Marquez, on-the-other hand fought the linear champion and fought the much better Juan Diaz who was the #1 contenter for his newly aquired title!

It was all floyd's fault that manny's last 3 fights were not competitive. If floyd didn't 'retire' (retire meaning ran away from cotto, margarito, mosley), manny would not have gotten the #1 p4p ranking. After becoming #1 p4p, manny just got really inspired to show he deserved the ranking that was the reason he trained even harder and was able to destroy diaz, oscar and hatton.
