I'd like to know how you worked that one out - Wlad has been down a total of TWELVE times. His chin is glass, end of story. Haye's chin COULD be glass but for now it's still in the shaky catergory.
'Easy to get too'? His jab is ridiculously hard to get past, his footwork is very good and he knows how to use his size inside and to hold. He isn't easy to tag in the slightest.
thats my problem with haye, he didn't convinced me yet, yeah he is fast and has power, but valuev was way to slow to really pressure haye, i have to see haye against a real opponent. if haye can knock a fit and in shape peter out then he could possibly beat wlad. right now there is no one who is capable of knocking guys out, boytsov is to fresh and untested, povetkin way to open for haye, chambers is good but he will get raped by wlad, i think a fit ibragimov would give haye hell, or arreola could knock haye out...
I guess I'm going by their punch resistance in their respective divisions... Just an opinion dude... I don't see Haye as having a great chin and neither does Wlad, although he's been hit by MUCH bigger punchers over the course of his career. Neither has been straight KO'd as of yet... (or has Haye, I'm not sure...)
Average, here's why. When you're fighting at heavyweight, any big punch could potentially KO you or knock you down. I think his chin is about as good as most others, he's just faced some really big punchers. Now, knowing that any big punch is a potential KO, he's never...NEVER been knocked out to where he couldn't make the count. Yes, he goes down, but he always gets back up, that's the difference between having a good or average chin and having a weak chin.
6.5 to 7.5 IMO. It's not the glass jaw people make it out to be but at the same time, I don't think it's something to hang his hat on.
Pretty average.....And since Manny Steward can't teach chin, he's taught Wlad to manage distance, jab incessantly, and always to be safety first.
I dont think his chin is bad. When he gets knocked down he gets back up. He has never been counted out and the heavys that put him down could drop just about any heavyweight.
Average i'd say, The T.O.S knockdown was just off-balanced.. My personal opinion in the Peter knock downs were more of a panic attack than anything. Wlad started to look ****ed before Brewster even had a chance to land anything big on him so as far as I see it the only guy to really crack him legitimately was Corrie Sanders.
The knockdown Wlad suffered at the hands of DaVaryll "Touch Of Sleep" Williamson. Also known as "Touch Of ****"
