How would you recalibrate/change the weight-classes?

I could support bringing up the cruiserweight limit to 210 or so. And possibly removing a couple of the smaller weight classes. Possibly 105 and 115, although I'm open to other ideas. I don't think all of the newer weight classes were bad ideas, though. Cruiserweight made a lot of sense, although I'm glad the limit was raised to 200 from the original 190. Supermiddle isn't too bad, either. But, it does seem that so many weights with just three and four pounds between them is excessive. Cutting one or two could be good for the sport as a whole.

However, while maybe shifting around a couple of the weight limits could fly (especially increasing cruiser), it would be near impossible to completely remove any weight classes. There's too much money in having 4 recognized titles in 17 weight classes. The sanctioning bodies will never allow for decreased amounts of belts, because that would mean fewer sanctioning fees. They couldn't care less about fighter's health, or strained talent pools. They just want more money. The sanctioning bodies are what is blocking real reform in the sport.

This is exactly what I believe also !
To make sure fighters can't cheat with weight and drain themselves, the official weigh-in would have to be the day of the fight and the day before, a non official weigh-in would take place where a fighter needs to be within 2 lbs of the expected weight !!
