How would your rate Haye's chances against Alexander Povetkin? Who'd you have as the favourite here?

Watch Chambers against Povetkin and notice how many right hands the Russian eats and the answer to this is clear. He can not take right hands with that consistency against David Haye. He seems to have a blind spot to right hands. I actually think Povetkin has regressed since that fight too. He hasn't fought a living body since that fight and his skills look eroded. Would be a great fight for David to take against an unbeaten fighter with good pedigree.

Yeah you've got to favour Haye quite a bit.

I still think though if Haye had the run of fights that Wlad's had recently, he'd get beat by at least one of the likes of Sam Peter or Chagaev etc.

By the way I prefer Povetkin too. Had high hopes for the kid when he came into the pros. He was very exciting, reasonable puncher, very good output for a heavyweight, unreal output. Solid skills. Punched downstairs, upstairs, he had the world at his feet. Totally a wasted talent. Wouldn't have beaten the Klitschko's but he should have been mixing it up with all the best contenders and he would have been in FOTY contenders. As it is he's done **** all, massive disappointment.

Haye would stop him, povetkin should be up at world title level, he's wasted his promise

Yep. I don't think he'll ever get it back either. I think they're banking too much on the idea heavyweights can go on until their mid 30's thing. That might apply to super heavyweights but Povetkin is a smallish guy that relies on his work-rate and speed, so thats not a wise plan if they're relying on that. He looked poor in his recent fight.
