2 big fights in the works for Khan, this and Mayweather.

Can't see him v Brook happening this year.. for the simple reason that if Khan was to lose then the Mayweather fight is 100% ****ed.

Basically depends on what Mayweather fancies doing. If he wants Khan, then that fight is happening. Khan will jump at the chance. If not, then Khan still has a big UK fight in the pipeline with Brook.

    Strong possibility that.

36-1 reads as a good record on paper, only ever lost on points to Bradley and ranked in the IBF top 10.

Why would they fight in Cardiff?

I'm guessing because the stadium has a roof.

Valid point, think they could do wembley but it would need to wait until April/May next year.

Exactly, the roof means they can have their stadium fight, regardless of the british winter.

Im guessing Cardiff would hold close to 60/70k for the event. Thats bloody massive.

I was talking about the situation to my brother earlier on.

This is my opinion. If Khan and Brook fight now, the fight is worth perhaps 2-4 million for each guy, so we'll settle at 3 million.

Now if Brook fights some goon in the Sheffield Arena, he's not going to make even 1 million, then in that time Khan could well get his Mayweather fight.

However if they fought now, and Brook won (which i think he will), HE could then be the one next in line for a 2015 summer fight against Mayweather, and that would him up to 10 million pounds.

Its simple mathematics imo. Fight Khan now and up your earning potential.

Besides, he's nearly 29, so how long has he got left at super elite level?? 3, maybe 4 years, in todays boxing climate thats about 5 mega fights if he's lucky. Make hay while the sun shines i think.

Yes the Khan fight is the biggest one match money maker but he could fight a defence here and if Khan isn't available in May next year there are plenty of other options stateside which make decent money, build a profile and go after the names. Khan isn't the be all and end all as much as I'd like to see it

Yes Khan is just one of many potential earners for Kell now..

I bet he loved it when he was asked about Khan and said he'll have to get in line.. :D

Khan won't happen next, that's pretty obvious by how they're talking. It'll be a comfortable enough defense at home in Sheffield then looking for Khan next summer then another big fight at the end of the year in the States I'd imagine, most likely a Thurman, Bradley, JMM or maybe even Pac.
