I haven't watched it back yet but I didn't feel it was close upon initial viewing. Belly had a good spell in the middle rounds but I didn't see him winning more than 4 rounds. His size and reach caused Usyk problems as you would expect and it made it difficult for Usyk to close the range, especially during Belly's best rounds, whereas Belly was able to punch from a range Usyk had to close to land with his own shots. If it wasn't Belly's huge reach advantage I honestly think Usyk would've KO'd in the first half of the fight.

I just rewatched the match the day after, not under the buzz of the occasion and without sound. I usually do this to have a clear view, without the influencing factors of the crowd and the commentators.

What I realized is that it was even more straightforward for Usyk than it seemed last night. Contrary to my previous scoring, Fury won only 3 rounds, not 4, and even the two rounds which felt really troublesome for Usyk last night—rounds 5 and 6—didn't look that bad now. Sure, Fury won them, but in the heat of the moment, I thought Usyk was in trouble and was breaking down and that Fury won these rounds by a big margin. He didn't actually. He won them but not in such dominant fashion it seemed last night. Also, it seems now that Usyk took it easy in these rounds to catch a breather and let Fury come to him at the same time. Usyk does this—takes a few rounds off in the middle—for two reasons: he needs a breather, and he needed one badly after pushing the action hard in the first 4 rounds. While he still boxed on the front foot in those two rounds, he didn't throw many punches, clearly trying to catch a break. But since he was moving forward, Fury threw punches, depleting his tank while Usyk was mainly in eco mode. Then, from round 7, Usyk stepped on the gas again and didn't stop until the very end, winning all 6 rounds in the second half of the fight.

The judge who scored the bout for Fury must be investigated, and Fury is a disgrace for lying, claiming he thought he had won and that Usyk received sympathy scores due to the war in Ukraine. How ridiculous was it when the fat scum said, "Nobody told me I was behind on the cards. If I had known, I would have gone out in the twelfth to knock him out"? Really, nobody told you to fight tooth and nail to the very last second in a historic undisputed title fight? And you would have just knocked him out, right? After you barely survived the 9th, you were a spent force, and you couldn't even wobble him when you were landing power punches flush on him while you were still fresh as a daisy in the earlier rounds? The guy simply doesn't know how not to lie.

EXACTLY the same as I got when I did the same thing and rewatched without the fanfare of the live event.
