It's not fair on fighters who have 6, 8, 10, 12 week camps to be stopped before they're given a chance to weather the storm. Howard Foster would have stopped some of the greatest victories in the history of the sport from happening. It's different if it's a sustained beating. I fully agree with a ref stepping in if it's round 9/10 and a guy has been getting hit clean all night. Or if a guy has been stunned a couple of times, then I welcome a ref stepping in. But Foster jumps in the second a guy gets hurt and it's not fair on the fighters. This is the hurt business, guys get hurt and keep fighting, sometimes winning. Their hard work deserves a chance to continue. Stoppage losses could ruin a career. It's become Fosters trademark now which is worse. I hate when he's ref, you know the dodgy stoppage is coming. And because the bbboc are so overprotective of fighters, they love the fu€ker!
That's an awful stoppage. I'm all for stopping for a fight if someone could get seriously hurt but that one doesn't make any sense.
Can you imagine growing up with Howard Foster as your Dad? You are a baby and start learning to walk, the slightest stutter of feet or a little wobble and he is off the sofa on to you waving his arms about. You grow up a little, Daddy Howard takes you to the park to learn to ride a bike, he is running beside you holding the seat, he let's go and you have that little initial wobble, he jumps in front of the bike and waves it off and takes you back home. You grow up more, Daddy Howard is teaching you to shave, you are OK, you're doing well but it's a bad razor and you get a very very small nick and that's it, Daddy Howard is in between you and the mirror waving off the first shave.
Howard Foster as a driving instructor. He sits besides you in your first driving lesson, you fail to find the biting point, and the car stalls. Howard rushes to open the door and steps outside in front of the vehicle and waves it off telling you that you are not going any further.
Sometimes it's not about the final shot but how they have taken shots earlier in the fight. Witness Khan getting decked by that left hook from Garcia.....later in the fight he was wobbled by not much more than a jab and the fight was stopped.Rightly so because he had taken decent shots and recovered but was then being by much lesser punches. In this case the guy gets buzzed a little then falls into a clinch, then falls in again later...with out much seeming to land. So it looks an awful stoppage...the only mitigating thing i can see in Fosters defense is the guy who gets stopped doesnt seem to complain much..

Too early for me
