I had these 2 videos which i got from last night and instead of just seeing them myself i would share them. Im sorry the quality is really bad and the camera side isnt good, wont happen again. Thanks This is with the handwraps tied to my feet to help keep my legs together: http://youtu.be/n5hBDyAjpFc This is without the handwraps tied to my feet: http://youtu.be/n5hBDyAjpFc Oh and how do i make the video show up right here?
thanks alot! sent you an email with it. I still think i need to improve my footwork, theres something that tells me it isnt good enough
End of Vid 1: Double jab stepping in, step back and to the left with only your left foot=get knocked flat on your ass by the right hand he follows up with. Did it twice in a row there, so hopefully you don't let that become a habit. All of Vid 2: Yup, it's a habit. I'd do everything possible to get rid of that immediately, because WHEN (not if) the other guy's coach picks up on that, he's just going to tell him to wait for you to stop punching and immediately lunge in with a right hand or a stiff jab. Even if you can take the shot, with your stance perpendicular to his like that (squared up) it's going to knock you back and make it look like you're hurt. They'll 8-count you. Happens 3 times in a round or 4 times in a fight and you lose the fight. Eliminate that habit now-like. One other thing, and this isn't a huge deal: pivoting 180 degrees is ******ed. You're only fighting one guy and he can't teleport. You wouldn't ever do that in sparring, so train as you fight. Other than that it was like damn. Looked really sharp, hand and footspeed were both good, fundamentals were all there, looks like you know what you're doing. Going forward try incorporating more angles, that's what footwork is all about. Watch Vasyl Lomachenko, bc not only is he awesome he has AMAZING footwork and it's not rocket science or anything. Very easy to pick up a few of the tricks he uses to get an angle.
Wow kill im impressed you came up with a good comment, thanks. Yep the Polish coach told me bout that. Thats why i dont like trainin at home because if i do something wrong it would immediately turn into a habit. Thanks alot for the comment and ill try to get rid of it immediately :good Edit: Oh ye and i turn 180 degrees cause im scared i would hit the wall, i dont have much space over there, ill stop doing that to, thanks again for the comment and ill be sure to check out Vasyl!
thanks a BILLION Barry, it really really really helped and i really couldn't ask for more. You taught me so much over the internet i wonder how good you are face to face, ive got 2 very good coaches which really made me how i am but they are young (both 24) and both pros who really teach me alot and put me before other students. About the bouncing, yes my coach said its good for amateur, go in, combination, back out and since its 3 rounds i can go on for a long time with speed. As far a professional, its my dream which is very far but i know that if any other regular person reached it then i can even tho itll take me quite a few years. Thanks again Barry, and also who do you recommend watching? Im going to watch Vasyl just like KillSomething recommended and ill check it out from there. Thanks
