Dude I don't remember what happened last week let alone last decade... but I do remember a lot of budiiiies thrown around in 144p opposite-of-legal online casts. Good times!

I can relate with you IB, I'm a Hasegawa fan myself. Actually I remember that I was very excited to watch him live on my computer back in the day.

Too bad it was against Montiel.

A great fighter and an even greater man.

His explosive fighting style attested to his spirit. If you want to see a machine gun heart, look no further. Legend.

Harada, Tatsuyoshi and Hasegawa are my Japanese 'Big Three'.

Hasewaga-san was also the prime example of a skilled Japanese top fighter with defensive deficiencies. I've seen fighters crack through Nishioka-sama's, Uchiyama-senpai's or Yamanaka-chan's defenses with equal destruction, some use too wide a stance and often paw with the jab rather than sticking it up ur nose.

Inoue-kun himself is imperfect on the defenses, his luck is a top notch chin, but will face bigger, younger, busier elite guys and may not escape without damages to self and record. Hozumi never really managed to tighten up those deficiencies and lost many fights while comfortable ahead on the cards and favored at the bookies. Inoue should work on that D namsayin.

Over the last week or so G+ in Japan have been going through Hasegawa's world title fights. Watching them you follow his mother's illness.

Also...he had ****ing Enya has his ring entrance until Shunsuke Kiyokiba's "Fighting Man"...It was still Enya up to and including the Montiel fight...no wonder Kiyokiba recorded him a new song!

Lovely to see these fights now in 720p as well! :D

The Montiel KO was sickening for me to watch. To see him slumped over and being held up by the ropes as Montiel teed off.

    :crybaby2:

Loved Hasegawa back in the day. Felt down for about a day or so when he lost to Montiel.

    Awesome. Love this thread.

Hasegawa was a beast. Like a couple have said Inoue before Inoue.
