I'd never count out a guy like Montiel...who is more experienced and has true two handed power.

But I think he is getting past it and outside his best weight...whilst on the other end of the scale Hozumi is in red hot form and has developed a lot as a fighter over the last couple of years.

Oh come on, there have to be some real boxing fans here.

THERE ARE OTHER BOXERS BESIDES PACQUIAO, MAYWEATHER, AND MOSLEY, AND THEY ARE EQUALLY DESERVING OF OUR ATTENTION.

Great fight really a pick em to be honest. I might have to lean with Montiel based on level of comp and experience but Hasegawa could very well win to.

So is this really happening now?

If so, my pick is Hasegawa by decision...possibly a late stoppage.

If this fight actually happens, I'm going with Hasegawa by decision. Montiel seems to freeze up in big fights.

Is this fight even happening?? Top Rank keeps denying this fight and claims Montiel is fighting Eric Morel next, while Teiken is saying they have a signed contract by Montiel and his manager.

The Japanese don't recognize the WBO. This fight is only for Hasegawa's WBC belt.

hoping montiel can get the ko, but i doubt it. hasagawa looks like the bigger man, the better boxer, has had the high ko rate lately, and is in his psychical prime while montiel has looked very ordinary, vulnerable, and sluggish in his last outtings. not to mention montiel has major major problems with southpaws. (johnson, gorres, and valdez). really hoping for montiel to come out on top.

Big props to Montiel if he and his team take this fight in Hozumi's back yard, because I honestly think Hasegawa's going to knock him out. Damn good fight regardless, though.

Hasegawa by late tko...Montiel just did'nt have enough gaz in the tank at this stage of his career and Hasegawa is in his prime....+ he's way faster and speed kills...
