    Round 1

HH jabs. JG backs away. HH flicks his jabs out, frisbee-toss style. JG is staying tall and tight on the back foot. HH comes forward pawing with his jab and drills a left to the body. What is it with these Japanese WBC champion southpaws and their left hand leads to the body tonight?? It's like all the pretty girls in class wearing the same thing on prom night. AWKWARD! Gonzalez is backing away and trying to keep it a long-range missile battle. Big right hand to the body by Gonzalez before pulling back in a jerky motion. Hasegawa answers with his straight left to the body. Gonzalez throwing his left hook now, asserting himself. Hasegawa is moving his upper body very well, ducking hooks and throwing the his own left hand straight. Gonzalez tries an upper-hook and goes a bit off balance.

    10-9 Hasegawa

If it makes it to the fifth - you have to wonder if open scoring will have an impact (ie Gonzalez hears he's behind and sells out, going for the KO..)

    Round 2

Hasegawa jabs and dictates the range, bullying Gonzalez around a little without being right on top of him. Left to the body by Hasegawa. Gonzalez is moving a lot, circling out wide, now cleaving to the ropes. Long left hooks to the body from Gonzalez, not wanting to get close and leave himself open. Hasegawa jabs continuously and starts increasing the frequency of his lefts to the body. Gonzalez is making a show of extending his lead foot forward and starting to jab but is very tentative and keeps pulling away when Hasegawa lets his own jab fly.

    20-18 HH

I guess Hozumi is just doing a little more. Close stuff so far, neither want to leave anything wide open and look to time the other.
