Thanks for the RBR IB. Hasegawa is a good fighter but his chin will prevent him from being elite.

It looked like one at first, but Hozumi bent into it and actually took it on the chin. There's a good slow motion replay at 12:45 of the clip posted above.

The odd thing is that it looked like Gonzalez was trying to throw a haymaker to the body, and Hasegawa actually ducked and it hit his face instead...I watched the replay a few times, and Gonzalez doesn't seem to aim for the head at all. Hasegawa kind of shot himself in the foot there.

    :deal

Hasegawa thought he had Jhonny scouted and was attempting to lean/slip forward and off to his left thinking Gonzalez would just come forward pawing with his left jab as he'd been doing. Gonzalez had been reluctant to throw the right hand except when he thought he had it perfectly lined up. Hozumi wasn't expecting him to throw it off-pattern at a moving target. Yeah, "hockey-assist" to Hasegawa  (which is not to take away from Gonzalez at all, as it was a spectacular KD/KO).

I knew this fight was going to be tough for hasegawa, but i just didnt realise how tough. I thought Hozumi would prevail but great win for Gonzalez, and it looks like its a move down to Super-bantamweight for Hasegawa, who can come back from this loss.

I hope Morales wins, but i think it will end up being a one sided beating. Hes too old, past his prime, and too small for the weight

    Unfortunatly, i agree.

As for the thread, congrats to Jhonny, wasnt expecting him to KTFO hasegawa, even tho i knew it wasnt gonna be an easy fight for Hasegawa neither. I hope Hasegawa can recover from this.
