Hasegawa won by 1st round TKO, according to boxrec. Looks like another very impressive victory, but let's just wait for Koizumi's report and a possible copy on tube,

Hasegawa. Mabuza is good, but for my money Hasegawa is the best H2H at the moments. I'd personally tip him to beat Darchinyan, though Montiel vs. Hasegawa would be a very close fight I wouldn't want to call.

However, Hasegawa probably won't leave Japan, and unless someone is willing to go over there (Roman Gonzalez, Chris John and Paulus Moses have proven you can get results over there) we probably won't see him fight anyone other than mandatories.

Hasegawa vs. Agbeko would be a fascinating fight as well.

Hasegawa has improved as a puncher lately. His (now 10) K.O % is deceiving....a quick view of any of his fights will show you how well he can punch, he's precise, snappy, and his right hook is deadly.

Hasegawa just proved that he's The Bantamweight to beat. Very solid performance. My only thought is that if he was more patient to carefully select the finishing shots instead of jumping on Malinga like a crazyman, no 3rd knockdown would've needed. But I guess finishing off opposition in such a quick fashion is pretty new for him. He just did it the 3rd time in 9 month, becoming a puncher after many 10-12 round decisions.
