Hrgovic could fight Wardley, who will win if the fight happens?

    Bad fight for Wardley.

He should wait 1-2 years for Hrgovic to be more tenderised and less motivated.

Swapping out one durable guy with decent (but not quite scary) power and a poor gas tank for... Oh, fairly similar.

Hrgovic is decent, but his limitations means there are obvious paths to win (with a half decent chin and decent stamina, cards should be fairly straightforward) but his durability means a limited slugger, even one with huge power, will need to dig deep to get through.

How far will Wardley really go? Fights like this are great for helping us find out.

Hrgovic would have a chance to win on points if Wardley doesn't catch him early, we've seen Wardley's defensive flaws and he's not hard to hit, if Clarke could last all the rounds then so can Hrgovic...

Oh I don't expect Wardley to knock Hrgovic out - no chin is unbreakable but I think that's unlikely.

And I'd expect Hrgovic to be competitive on points here, even though it's not his strong suit - Wardley isn't a top fighter, he might get there but he's not yet...

It's a stiffer test than Miller without question - it's just that if Wardley is nearly ready to get in with the top guys, he should be competitive here.

And TBF, I voted Hrgovic on points.

(That said, I have Hrgovic as probably a solid gatekeeper - many others here rate him higher).

Hrgovic would be a fool to take another fight on 1 months notice, especially seeing how he performed against Joyce.

Wardley is way too easy to hit and hurt. Very bad fight for him.

I thought Hrgovic looked good vs Joyce it was his best performance vs a notable opponent IMO.

He never got out of first gear and boxed Joyce's head off winning by almost a shut out infact I struggled to give Joyce a round.

Hrgovic is a better opponent than Miller and that would be strange for a replacement being a better fighter than the original opponent.

Hrgovic wasn't happy with his performance and said he needs a full camp next time as he knows he could do better.

It would've been very telling if he'd struggled with a Joyce who's only fit for the glue factory...

Hrgovic is definitely better than Miller, though - it'd make for an interesting fight, but Hrgovic would have to be favourite.

Risky fight for both. Especially as it would be another late replacement fight for Hrgovic and that beating Wardley is probably less of a 'high reward' win than beating Joyce. I think Wardley V Miller would have been a more entertaining fight.

Wardley's power IMO is genuine but his boxing skills isn't that great, there is quite a big gap between his and Hrgovic's skills. Hrgovic can for sure win the battle of the jabs and the straights for a good few rounds, however his stamina is rather poor in which he'll struggle to maintain such tempo over 12 rounds. With Wardley, its a bit hard to gauge how he is over 12 rounds especially whether that nasty cut he got against Clarke early in the fight made much of a difference.

The judges will do everything they can to give the decision to Wardley.

Style wise, its a pretty tricky opponent in Hrgovic for Wardley and I think that will show - it is a significant step up from Clarke who is basically a prospect to a fringe if flawed contender in Hrgovic. I have Hrgovic close points, but I could see Wardley stopping him late if Hrgovic gasses out.

Wardley is quite a proven opponent and has several good wins, this is a high-risk fight and I don't think Hrgovic can afford to turn this down considering his nationality and small market.

Hrgovic might be favour, ite but if he starts getting lazy VS Wardley which he has shown he can do - even in big fights, he might have his lights switched off.

I do think more time with Sanchez will make Hrgovic better. Lets get real here Ronnie Shields is way past his sell date as a trainer at this point and was doing nothing good for Hrgovic.
