Hrgovic accepts Parkers callout - Lets go, lets do it, lets get down to business

IMO Hrgović will win. Hrgovic has a better chin.
A lot is written about Hrgović, but I don't know if he is of the caliber to be a world champion.

*Analysis of the fight Hrgović Vs. Zhang (Hrgovic's biggest win by far):
*It should have been a draw with the following:
Hrgovic did not deserve less than a draw, and he could have won.
Zhang didn't deserve more than a draw, and he could have lost.
The scenario I would like the most is if it was a draw, and they scheduled another fight.

 

To me Zhang won the event but Hrgovic won the rounds.

 

Hrgovic got better chin (probably this fella is easy in top 5 best chin today Hw).
Hrgovic is bigger 198 to193 height and 208 to 193 reach.
Filip punching harder.
They are similar speed.
Filip know how to box from distance and use jab (not like Wilder)
Filip can be very active- in competetive fight with Zhang he throw almost 700 punches.

Parker as smaller boxer need to looking for find his distance but this will not be soo easy like vs Wilder who have no idea how to use front hand.
And I doubt Filip will run away from him. He will go toe to toe.

Parker dont have health for this. He was destroyed in war like that by Joyce. And Joyce is slower and less dinamic than Filip.

Only advantage from Parker is his expirience but lets be real- its not counterweight for all Filip advantages.

Parker by decision. He's got more experience facing better fighters. It'll be a hard fight, but Hrgovic feasting on subpar fighters might be in for a shock actually stepping up. Especially if a referee actually starts enforcing a no rabbit punching policy.

 

I see it, if something he seems to be super underrated, he is a top level heavyweight and will be champion in the near future. Pretty basic but very effective style.

He won against Zhang, who everybody hypes up, even that his dad died and he had a new trainer. If you can beat guys like Zhang on a off night then you are top level heavyweight.

 

Hrgovic is willing to risk his position because he has no choice anyway, Parker is the ideal opponent to gain experience and respect because he is an experienced and proven fighter, it will be a tough fight but let the fight happen and we'll see what happens.

 

If Parker goes out and is beaten after clean slating DW then Wilder's run as champ really becomes a joke. I'd think any DW fan should be screaming for Joe from the rooftops here.

Hard to see avenues for victory for JP in this one. Hrgovic has a great chin and throws a lot of punches. Outpointing him is going to be tough and really relies on JP having the power to deter him. We saw Hrgovic looked very deterred at points against Zhang but the difference in power between Z and P is significant.

Hrgovic has so many more avenues to victory than JP that I have to pick him. I see it being an 80/20 fight if Hrgo's favour.

 

Great fight and a very tough one to call. I rate both guys guys highly band I'm on the fence for this one, I can see it going either way.

Parker has the faster hands and is better defensively.

Hrgovic has the power to stop Parker and puts combination together well. However Hrgovic does have a bad habit of leaving his chin out and getting hit clean (Molina, De Mori and Zhang), if Parker lands a good overhand right cleanly, he can stop him too.

 

Hrgovich relatively easy IMO

 

Parker arguably lost to Chisora, got stopped by Joyce and is now on the verge of legitimately earning a title shot. Big credit to Parker for achieving this.

 

Agreed, for you me and every other boxing fan.

Unfortunately boxing works by picking fights that people who don’t like the sport would pay to watch as they take us for granted. The Ngannou fight probably does big numbers after his fight with a sloppy untrained Fury

 

I hope this fight happens. Hrgovic has a decent set of whiskers, I think he wins if it happens.

 

Yeah, it's a cross over fight and will draw mma fans that don't watch boxing as well. Hearn and Joshua probably see an opportunity to build his name among them and expand his fan base.
