    another thing..
itauma has got the fastest hands in the division...
he would've knocked most guys out..
hrgovic should be given a hell of a lot more credit than just a chin..

Well it seems we watched different fights, and took away different things.

Moses stock went up for me, seems
    to have gone down for
    you.

But to call Hrgovic average? Come on...

    Come on man...

Serge educated the forum yesterday on why Hrgovic is anything but average.

    @Serge

    Wonderful write up

    Not nearly enough.

He needs an alt account @Georgeiej masquerading as a 46 year old female to be a back up dancer.

I would say the majority consensus is yes, he would have knocked most guys out lol

But Hrgovic has an iron chin, as everyone on both sides of the fence have attested to.

I’m not calling Hrgovic average. A lot of the Moses sycophants on here are making all kinds of excuses and rationalizations for why he lost including trying to minimize what Hrgovic actually did and say Moses simply beat himself. Hrgovic is an Iron Chinned Warrior. Moses didn’t beat himself he got wrecked by a better fighter and was on his way to getting brutally KOed before the towel was thrown in.

The problem is... Yes, he is.

It's the same old stories on here.

Express any kind of skepticism about excessive hype? Hater!!#!!#@!

Beat a hypejob? Become hyped like crazy.

Express skepticism about the new hype train? Hater!#!@#*?!!

Trust your judgement of the evidence - I regarded Hrgovic as a gatekeeper before this, with neither the power nor the stamina and ability on cards to beat top fighters... I regard that as a sensible and justifiable position on the evidence we had.

Beating an overhyped prospect doesn't change that.

Hrgovic is not, and was never a gatekeeper.

Moses lived up to the hype imo,by making Hrgovic a bonafide top heavyweight (Now champion), look like another taxi driver Moses victim during the first 6 -8 rounds

It's fair to give Hrgovic the credit he deserves. The Croatian took a lot of hits and managed to absorb them well, then landed the right shots at the right time to win. Itauma was certainly ran out of gas, but at that point Hrgovic was still in the match and landed the right shots to win via stoppage. It's fair to give him credit for that.

I disagree - he has no pathway to victory against top fighters unless they have MAJOR flaws... He lacks the power to stop anyone proven at the top end of the division and his iffy stamina leaves him very unlikely to beat them on cards either.

Zhang, for example, he went 50/50 with on cards - Zhang is dreadful on cards, and has never beaten a top-200 fighter on them.

Joyce was shot, pretty major flaw.

The rest of his wins are barely worth mentioning - De Mori, McKean, Adeleye are all journeymen.

Hrgovic doesn't get to be a top heavyweight by beating Moses who only counts because he lost to Hrgovic... That's circular reasoning, a logical fallacy (commonly referred to as "bull****").

Moses hasn't beaten a single live, non-shot, fighter above journeyman level... For the guy who was going to be a dominant champion and unbeatable, he's shown a very significant flaw.

No, he hasn't anywhere near lived up to the hype - yet.

He still might prove to be significant, or he might go down as another Pricey in sense of being a cautionary tale about getting too excited too soon about prospects.

    Time will tell

    also....
after the fight, he's asking for unification fights..
he told frank warren to pay sanchez more step aside money, so he can chase unification fights..
how many champions, after winning the title get low risk high reward fights??
i hope he finally gets big fights, and makes big paydays after all he's been through, and the way he's been overlooked, avoided and disrespected

    That?

    Massive respect.

I don't expect he'll win them, but there are other mediocre champs with thin resumes at the moment, so it's possible.

If nothing else, I wish far more champs would do this rather than sit on their belts and hide.
