Hrgovic is better than Itauma and deserved to win. Give him his credit

He hit Itauma with a punch to the temple on the ropes while pushing him down with his forearm... After that he started stumbling and folded like a sack of spuds when Hrgovic landed that last bodyshot. That's a clear KO, whether he was exhausted or not.

Who cares if he outlanded him when the punches barely had an effect? When Hrgovic piled on the pressure he folded anyway. Everytime Hrgovic landed anything meaningful it took the steam out of him and he started to wince.

Hrgovic said he was fast but didn't carry that upper echelon concussive power.

Itauma has joined David Price(Hammer), Tom Dallas(Skelton) and Towers(Browne) in getting hilariously mauled and stunned against the ropes. All favorites too IIRC. All fighting under the English flag.

Hrgovic had the right strategy, he landed his share of punches. he fought a great fight.
i will judge itauma on how he responds to this fight and how he fares against another top fighter.
one fight isn't enough for me to count itauma out. he has some amazing skills but he also lacks some skills. like pacing himself, adjusting to his opponent. he can bounce back. he's young and has resources to help him grow from this defeat.

What is the disrespect or hate though? For myself, I have never said he sucks or can’t be a top 10 fighter..

I simply have said he isn’t one now, and has some building to do - and I suspected this prior to the fight as well.

People refusing to rank him as a certain caliber of fighter without a ranked win isn’t a good reason to say they’re hating or being disrespectful….

Where it had been said that Moses is:

    "Overhyped"

    "Hypejob"

    "Been exposed"

    "Will likely never come back"

    "Won't recover"

"Has too many holes in his game and defence"

    "Barely hits hard"

    "Doesn't belong at this level"

    "Is fat/flabby/lazy"

    "Doesn't love the sport enough"

"Was getting outsmarted and outgunned by Hrgovic"

"Won't be able to make the required adjustments to improve"

    "Weak genetics/stamina"

    "Has a suspect/fragile mandible"

    "Has a microphone head"

LOL literally salty, armchair, opinions. The boxing experts have said the complete opposite. Their opinion, of course, carries so much more weight.

Imagine all famous fighters had a propaganda machine going to overdrive like this and this mass outpouring of sympathy for them when they lost a fight?

You’re delusional if you don’t think he was overhyped.. He just lost a fight when he was an 8-1 favorite or something like that against an established long standing contender, having never competed against a top fighter before..

If that’s not evidence of someone being overhyped, I’m not quite sure what is..

And as I stated in another thread, many people thought those odds were wild anyway.

I’d say you actually seem saltier…

Ironically, you've given Hrgovic the least amount of credit with the majority of your posts because you're so deadset on just hating on Itauma.

Hrgovic either beat a skilled prospect/contender or he's just beaten some hypejob for an easy belt. You can't have it both ways.

I've never seen anything like this before after a fighter got KO'd either... The denial, subversion and denigration of the opponent who was victorious. And the sad part is that almost everyone in the Boxing world is playing along with this narrative without stating a more unbiased opinion.

You can clearly see Hrgovic hit him so he folded, yet everyone is in denial.

It's like they invested so much into the hype they have to double down to save face. They feel forced to compulsively deny, project and denigrate.

The media didn't exactly go into overdrive defending Wlad when he collapsed vs Brewster. Immediately after the fight Roy Jones and the pundits were saying he doesn't have heart and a weak chin.

It needs to be studied because it's bizarre. I see some pundits and commentators making a point out of giving Hrgovic some credit but only briefly before they just hop back aboard that narrative train.

It was not an 8-0 domination prior to the finish and even if you scored every round to Moses a bunch of them were close and very competitive and the success Hrgovic had in them took a big toll on Moses and contributed to him fading

People have to put things into proportion here. The ''hate'' Moses has been getting pales into insignificance compared to the praise he's been getting and the excuses going into overdrive from the media/social media machine and countless fans and how little credit Hrgovic has been getting from said machine and fans

    Well said.

He wasn’t a westerner, they wanted him to fail.
