Worse fighters around than Forrest but I don't see the point of this for Hrgovic

Push over fight anyway. Try and make a fight with a top 15, hrgovic will never get a shot unless it’s mando. And the queue is long.

Gassiev pulling out of the Forrest fight? Kind of left Forrest hanging, Hrgovic making a statement. At least Forrest should be tuned up from a few camps ready to fight. Gassiev better not bottle his next fight.

Sure, those are fair points to make, and there are examples of that all over boxing.

Hrgovic is so far ahead of where Wilder was at that point of time, when he was struggling with unranked competition. Cunningham is also far more accomplished than Forrest, he was world level (at cruiser).
My point is, Forrest is very low on the food chain. With all of the hype behind Hrgovic, faltering at this stage, with his experience, against a fighter of Forrest's caliber, would be a terrible look for his future prospects.

I doubt Mike Hunter ( who defeated Forrest ) or anyone one the top 15 wants to face Hrgovic. So he has to settle for Forrest. It is what it is. Hrgovic should target the ranked guys in the alphabet organizations as that's how you get a title shot. The future prospects at heavyweight are good. There are plenty of big men who can box and punch. Today the top ten is full of older men, people who are mediocre boxers, and frankly guys who are ranked due to lack of depth. That will change in the nest two years.

Hunter declined Hrgovic and went for Povetkin on the undercard of AJ vs Ruiz 2 .

No fight is going to get sanctioned in case of a medical emergency if someone gets injured and needs a hospital with all the craziness going on where they don’t need any extra formality involved of a sporting event with more serious conditions are going on. :ambulance:

Man I totally agree, he should be trying to get the highest ranked guys out there. He is very high risk/low reward to anyone in the top though.

All I said initially is that struggling with Forrest at this point in his development, would be an awful look for his future prospects as a potential HW champ. Which I still stand by. Forrest is not good.
