I hope he gets in the ring with Wilder, just as I hoped he got in the ring with Ruiz, Sanchez, AJ, Whyte, Kabayel, Wallin, Hunter, Martin, Gassiev, Parker, Joyce and Bakole, who IBF asked to fight in mandatory and they all declined. If he is such an easy prey, why didnt Wilder accept his fight?
Why wasn't Hrgovic able to throw combinations like he did against Zhang? In my opinion, Hrgovic fought better against Zhang than yesterday. Why didn't he throw more combinations or in general, more shots before McKean closed the distance with his clinching? I know he was exhausted, but he was also exhaustet against Zhang + had more damage
Less sharp, marginally more motivated than the last time, with failing gas tank (weirdly enough.) That's a no-no way to continue his career, even if he wants to contend for the belts in a post Fury-Usyk era. McKean was spoiling a lot, taking rounds after Hrgovic had to take them off to breathe, before ultimately getting stopped. Legit stoppage in my book, though the last punches to the back of the head were absolutely unnecessary. Hrgovic should have gotten some kind of warning through the bout. EDIT: Definitely needs activity, though whether he will truly embrace the fighting game ever again is not given.
Hrgovic has fought once a year for the past two years. He’s due to not look that good. Needs to get active.
The fight with Usyk will not happen because the British and Americans are privileged and one of them will get a chance, even if they are worse than Hrgovic, hard work is no longer appreciated in boxing.
Dodging punches isn’t running away. Maybe Hrgovic could learn something from Zhang since he currently uses the Balboa tactic of blocking punches with his face.
