Hrgovic or Yoka, who is the worse fighter in your opinion?

    Hrgovic walked through fire against veteran puncher with amateur pedigree. Yoka managed to scrap a few rounds against gassing Bakole.

    Gotta be Yoka, I don't think Hrgovic showed his true ability against a very good opponent in Zhang, with all the out of the ring distractions etc , whereas Yoka has failed to impress at pretty much every level and hasn't shown any improvements. If Hrgovic looks bad in his next fight I may have to re-evaluate.... Nope sod that , he'll still be light years ahead of Yoka

    Definitely think people are too harsh on Hrgovic over his last showing although I guess that's to be expected, as he also received more hype than was probably justifiable at the time , so take the rough with the smooth and come back better next time out.

    And in closing, I'm 6ft 200lbs and would fancy my chances of flattening Yoka with a good shot, whereas i could probably barely get Hrgovics attention with a sledgehammer

    Yoka is packing egg shell in his whiskers, Hrgovic iron in his.

    And Hrgovic was robbed against him in the Olympics under a format which favoured Yoka, as was Big Joe Joyce. Both KO him in the pros.

    As I suspected and was proven right, Hrgovic was still badly cut up about losing his father when he fought Zhang. Virtually everything he says here confirms everything I suspected and observed both before, during and after the fight.

    Yoka is the worse of the two. Neither of them have shown much progression since turning pro but Yoka's amateur style was never really suited to the pro ranks. While Yoka may have hoped to become a french version of Joshua he's more likely to end up being a French version of Audley Harrison.

    Hrgovic is getting underrated now because of a bad day at the office. Zhang is decent, and Hrgovic found a way through. He's miles ahead of Yoka, who simply isn't that good.

    He's not entirely wrong about Hrgovic, if anything Zhang performed above and beyond everyone's expectations. Also, I was this close to picking Zhang in an upset, because even though I picked Jerry Forrest to upset Zhang, stylistically Zhang was better suited to give Filip issues. That being said, I thought Zhang edged the fight and Hrgovic certainly wasn't impressive. He was rocked to his core too many times to count and if Zhang trusted his gas tank and had gone all out, he'd have probably won by stoppage.

    Sure, Bakole doesn't have a fancy amateur record, but the man is one of the few fighters to legitimately stop Kevin Johnson and Mariusz Wach and in far more impressive fashion than almost everyone else who has. He also handled Rodney Hernandez more impressively than Jared Anderson did afterward and Efe Ajagba did before. Sure he struggled with Kuzmin, but Kuzmin does have that fancy amateur record now doesn't he? What difference does that make ultimately because Kuzmin would beat Yoka as well. Bakole lost to Hunter, but so what, he had one arm, and Hunter is a top tier Heavyweight, who should have a win over Povetkin. Sure he struggled against Forrest, which is no big deal, clearly Forrest is a danger man against southpaws, which is why he gave Zhang so many issues as well. Not saying Bakole is some killing machine or a world beater, but he certainly isn't a ****ing nobody. So give that bull**** narrative a rest. He's in an around the same level as Kuzmin, Hunter, Hrgovic and Zhang. With Yoka clearly several places beneath all of them.

    Nothing is worse than Yoka.

    Hrgovic isn't that good, and those who are saying it was one bad fight are kidding themselves. First, we saw that he was one-handed. Then, we saw that he had concentration problems. Eventually, we figured out his power was oversold. The last thing he has going for him was his incrackable chine, and last time out, we saw that it isn't incrackable.

    I am not trying to degrade Hrgovic. He is a sold B- guy, and because of how bad the division is when you get passed Uysk and Fury, he is for all purposes a B+. He might improve yet, and with Usyk, Fury, Joshua, Wilder and Joyce all north of 33, he may very well be the heir apparent. Thus far he has demonstrated nothing special.

    Yoka is a ****ing joke.

    No one thought Yoka was that good to begin with so him losing against Bakole wasn't a massive shock. Hrgovic for some reason is seen as an heir apparent to the division, so him looking like warmed over dogshyte vs Zhang was a bubble burst for sure.

    As for who is the worse fighter, Yoka.

    Um, no. Hrgovic will likely be an actual heavyweight champion.

    The others, no.

    Kuzmin and Hunter? Good Lord.

    Where did you pull them out from? They are going absolutely nowhere fast.

    Hunter's resume at heavyweight is far more impressive than Hrgovic's. I need to see Filip beat a proven commodity, something which Zhang is not. They were both undefeated and neither had faced an actual threat, the one quasi threat Zhang had faced in Forrest, he went life and death with. So let's not act like he's a world beater. Filip looked terrible against Zhang and his win is very debatable. So I'm not sure where you got this bullish cocksure attitude from about Hrgovic. He's already arguably failed his first step up.
