@POTUS why did you even have to post in this thread? It's a discussion, not just saying random things. Bring some arguments about your predictions. Cause I can't see any.
Pointless time-wasting fight, Hrgović is already well past the need for this level of stepping-stone. Mansour > Molina.
I think it's still an okay name for the number of fights that Hrgovic has. It was Joshua's 17th fight and Wilder 35th. And this one will be Hrgovics 10th. Yes, Molina is older now, but both fights against Joshua and Wilder were pointless too.
I always thought Drummer Boy was ridiculously overrated, just because he buzzed Arreola (himself an insane hype job) during their brief violent war. He never belonged in with any world class heavyweights. (and I don't think a shot old blown-up Adamek counts, even if he did mount himself a little run as semi-legitimate HW contender a few years prior)
For sure! If it wasn't the fight with Wilder, Drummer Boy would never touch the big money in the sport. I didn't know anything about him before that. He has only one decent win and it is against an ancient year old Adamek, which he was still losing widely, but got a KO.
I don't think it's pointless. He's getting showcased on a big card man. Hopefully we'll see him in intriguing fights in 2020.
Yeah, and the more I think about it, Molina will just blunder straight forward and serve himself up on a platter for a highlight reel KO, which can only raise Hrgović's stock among casuals seeing him for the first time. Idk, this just feels like it should've been a pre-Mansour opponent. I hate seeing talented guys take backward steps. We all know what happened with Bogdan Dinu, etc., left withering on the vine.
Hrgovic has never been dropped as an amateur or as a professional. He also fought in the WSB 30 times which has no headgear, five three minute rounds and 10z gloves as opposed to 12oz gloves. Given Filip was fighting in the WSB since he was 18 years old I think it's safe to say he has a solid chin.
It's a step down from Mansour, a step up from Heredia. Not the worst stay busy fight, but overall... meh.
The first time I saw Hrgovic I knew he would be the best of this new generation entering the league. He has no weaknesses... Just think about that.
I mean, yeah, goes without saying he's a step up from Chubby Chabelo who just got ground down by a flaccid Flores.
Be a good chance to show case him to the world. Molina is a bum but went rounds with Wilder and ran from AJ so people will know him... Molina will fold like a deck chair putting his back to Hrgovic as soon as he tastes his power, RNR style. Will be fun to watch.
