I don't think he can stop Ruiz. He doesn't have the power to stop him. He can outbox him though. Hrogovic has decent power, but it's levels below Wlad's or Wilder's. He couldn't stop, drop or hurt Sean Turner who was KO'ed by Nathan Gorman, who is far from a big puncher himself. And he has only one "lights out" KO in the pros so far - against Pavel Sour. But Sirenko KO'ed Sour with pillow amateurs glowes and headgear on in the first round years ago, so... Saying that, Hrgovic doesn't seem to have any clear weaknesses in his game - he has excellent size, good speed, good boxing IQ, good chin, awkward style, good work rate and stamina and desent power. And he seems very dedicated to boxing. You can rarely see combination like this in one fighter, so he may well become a heavyweight champion of the world inthe future.
Good showcase fight for Hrgovic. Am impressive win would surely put him in an excellent position for a title fight, may be in 2021.
His weakness is his defense and can be exploited by a few guys who are pressure fighters who can land on the lean back style. His strength is also defense bc most guys cant cope with it. He has weaknesses you just wont see many unveil it, Hrgovic is a big unit. tough and has great ring IQ ina style very ,and almost identical to Vitali Klitschko . Top matches he could encounter. Best match up for Hrgovic = Wilder ( i'd tip Hrgovic to get the win here ) Equal = Joyce Rematch Hardest = AJ Unpredictable = Fury
Exposure on the world state is the key here. Molina is ranked 36th at box rec, I think. The goal will be to finish Molina impressively and faster than Wilder did. Remember Hrgovic only has 9 pro fights, he's being moved faster than Mike Tyson. Ready to take the title I think as early as 2020!
Tyson was not groomed as a amatuer boxer, he was getting titles as a kid not even drinking age ,come on now...………..Tyson was out of his peak at the same age Hrgovic is now a ,no one was moved as fast as M.Tyson nor will there ever be a HW ,it'll never happen again.. l
I think the main purpose of this fight is for Filip to score an emphatic knock out in front of a large and diverse audience. Given Molina has faced both Deontay Wilder and Anthony Joshua I assume his promoters also hope some comparisons will be drawn by fans. All things considered it's el animal's tenth pro fight which is decent for someone who is still considered a prospect / contender.
He worked with Cus Damato before going pro, talk about being groomed. And Tyson did have amateur fights. I'm talking about total pro fights. Hrgovic, if given the chance can win a world title before his 12th professional fight.
Tyson was the youngest HW champ in history. It only took him 7 months to have 9 fights. Its taken Hrgovic over 2 years.
That's not what I'm saying. My point is Hrgovic can win the title in less fights that it took Tyson. Worry not Dino, we will you know when Hrgovic earns troll status.
Molina will drop a man who has perhaps the best chin in the division? Bold prediction. Hrgovic has an aggressive style, so he's open to a counter. His new trainer probably added a wrinkle to his defense. I'd like to see him block and counter with his own hook, or duck and counter with a short hook.
