Here are the punch stats of the fight. Jabs landed 40 - 5 Jabs thrown 327 - 88 Power landed 168 - 149 Here are the punch stats. Hrgovic out jabbed and out landed Zhang . The haters are out in full in full force, but of you score the fight round by round you will come up with the right winner. Zhang showed good defense and power, and fought an off focus Hrgovic who didn't show up for any pre-fight stuff. Something was bothering him. Maybe Zhang's southpaw style. The knock down was a cuffing blow behind the head / combination push down. Not chin or balance related. For those who want my round by round scoring, here it is. The fight, the full variety is on you tube. Watch it, it was a good fight. Hrgovic won it by 7-8 rounds including sweep of the last three rounds. Instead of saying Hrgovic sucks, I see it that he was the victim of a lucky knock down against / push for a blow behind the head, and had to overcome a bad clash of heads and move around a soggy ring vs a top ring magazine rated top 10 southpaw with a lot of power and sneaky quick hands. Questions were answered about his heart, long term stamina and chin, IF fans are honest. No-- Zhang did not win. I gave Zhang the 1st, 3rd, 5th and 9th rounds. Four rounds. Hrgovic won the rest. 8 rounds to 4 in favor of Hrgovic. Fans who disagree are free to post your round by round score cards,

The KD definitely shouldn't have been counted because it was a cuffing shot to the back of the mind and Zhang essentially cuffed/pulled him over and if you remember numerous other fighters who fought on that card complained about the canvas being slippy. I haven't rewatched it but it was a close fight and I feel like Zhang had the big moments but he was ultimately outworked. I think Hrgovic was still affected by the loss of his father and he just didn't look right mentally and that was in evidence at times during the fight. Also it was his first fight with his new trainer and they'd only been working together for nine weeks IIRC. I've heard he's left Shields and is back with his old trainer Pedro Diaz now.
