I'll have to be honest and say that Hrgovic doesn't have knockout power, Dubois easily took all those punches without being shaken.

    Off topic.
I have the impression that Hrgović's career was very poorly managed.

I also have the impression that Zhang's career has been very poorly managed.
Get a top fight at 40+ years - no comment.
Add to that Wilder's 10 title defenses, and getting the undisputed HW champion after a quarter of a century - it stinks a lot in professional boxing.

I don't think so. Only if you thought he had elite/great punching power like Zhang or AJ. If this is the case then yes, it was overrated. But I have always thought of him as of good, hard puncher but clearly not elite. My opinion hasn't changed - I think Dubois chin was underrated due to his stoppage loss to Usyk and knockdowns against Lerena. But he took a lot of punishment against Joe Joyce never showing the signs of a bad chin. And Joyce brutally knocked out durable Joseph Parker for example

Yeah that was a clear during the fight, I posted as much in the RBR while the fight was happening. That and Dubois' chin is better than previously thought.

Hrgovic won't have problem finding opponents now that's for sure. Maybe Bakole will now finally take the fight he's ducked at least a couple of times.

Hrgovic now has the same problem Parker did when he stepped up and his one punch KO power vanished. He needs to actually learn some defence because he can't just stand there and bomb it out with genuine punchers.

He has heavy hands, but more like Vitali ones, not Wladimir with explosive 1 or 2 punch KO power in them.
That doesn't mean he doesn't punch hard enough. Just different kind of power.

The thing that was overrated more than even his power was his defence. We knew he was hittable but damn he ate a lot of punches. Even Joyce who we all know is very hittable avoided more shots from Dubois. Dubois only landed 30% on Joyce but he landed 33.5% on Hrgovic.

He might have "heavy hands" but he punches so slowly. He's effectively like Joyce. Both absolutely **** and both should retire.

Good comparison. It's interesting because I do think he actually has better technique than Vitali, at least on his right hand. Looks very smooth and gets full leverage on it, but the effect isn't as expected.

Yeah and instead of writing Wladimir i wrote Klitschko, which was dumb asf, like Vitali is not a Klitschko. :D
I think a lot of people fail to understand that there is different type of power, and different type oh heavy punchers.

Looks quite a strong puncher as well. As they always say tho its the punches you dont see coming that do the damage.

Opponents see hrgovic,s punches coming. Not much disguise going on with it. Wierd that they,ve not worked on stuff like that with him.
