The reason Huck couldn't recover was that he took too many body shots through out the fight and once he was truly hurt, he had no reserves to fall back on. Huck was head hunting too much. Huck can win a rematch.

hmm I always thought Huck's jaw was one of his strengths not his weakness, but I have to admit he looked totally out when he got up. Zero recuperation at all. You think from hereon out his jaw will let him down more often? Or can cracked jaws (and his confidence) heal?

Glassed jaw or not this was one helluva fight. I've seen glass jaws. I didn't see any in this fight. Both guys took wicked shots all night.

I didn't see a lot of skill. This was 200 pounders teeing off on each other.

Yup, truly glass jawed.. only went 12 rounds with Povetkin.. and was down for the first time in his career.

Somehow it turned to glass in the 11th round of this fight.

I said it during the RBR. Glowacki was spearing his body with the straight left from the opening bell and then turned to the right hook to the body in the second half of the fight. He was sapping Huck of his energy not only by going to the body but by also making him miss alot also. Huck throws wild sloppy yet very heavy punches. Some got through but Glowacki would either smother his attacks, dodge them, or least make Huck pay every time he opened up by countering with something.

Yeah, it WAS a strength, but maybe not anymore. As you say, he didn't recuperate at all - once he hit the deck, the fight was basically over. That doesn't bode well for his ability to take a shot in the future.

My guess is that we've got a Roy Jones -type situation on our hands, and if Huck chooses to continue his career, he could be hitting the canvas fairly regularly. :yep

Zak you're always one to point out that a chin getting shattered LATE, after a long grueling fighting usually isn't a sign of glass. I don't think Hucks chin is as good as it once was, but it's certainly not glass. We'll see if you're hunch proves to be right though.

Rico & Zakman are used to going 12rds with thier mothers cawks day in & day out without getting buzzed so it comes as no surprise that a fight ending in 11 caught their attention

You raise a good point - this could be an atypical situation, something like Mike Tyson. But something makes me think we're looking at a chin that is weakening late, like Jones' did.
