Just saw the match on youtube. What the hell?!? Povetkin was in a standing KO for 15 minutes after the match ended and he still somehow got the decision. Huck beat the heck out of him.

I saw a razor close fight with Huck landing the hardest single shots and Povetkin landing better combinations, while in the worst condition I've seen him at that. I also scored it by a point or two to Povetkin, if I remember correctly. :conf So, I would say Povetkin>Huck.

Yes, Huck won a couple of rounds big, but did you actually score a fight? It was extremely close and I had Povetkin winning 7-5. Actually I think that the most had Povetkin winning it closely.

Nah, I like Huck, he always brings it, regardless who he fights.

It was a really close fight, somehow similar to Bradley-Provodnikov. One guy lands hard blows regularly, the other guy looking better between these significant shots.

A close win for Povetkin is ok, nothing to moan about. A different result would have been justifiable, too as it was really close.

I had Huck slightly ahead and I remember being pretty upset about the result but in hindsight, it was probably a razor close fight that could've well been scored in favour of Povetkin. It's just that Huck's good rounds were REALLY good whereas Povetkin's won rounds were unspectacular.

I also was upset by Povetkin's strange ducking.

I scored it for Huck (115-113), and it was clear to me that Pov wouldn't have survived much longer.
But it was a close fight and it was also the worst version of Povetkin I've ever seen. I guess if they fight 5 times, Capt'n Caveman would probably win once.

Povetkin is the better of the two fighters.

Very, very close fight, that could have been score either way. Huck's performance was probably more impressive, especially since he was the underdog.

Massive fan of Huck but I had it a draw, major EVT win for Huck though.

Iirc he'd been receiving anonymous death threats before the fight & he had Povetkin out on his feet at the end.

    Huck a G

I think that's the thing. Almost everyone wants to score it for an underdog if it's close and a huge amount of people think it's a robbery when they're a significant underdog.

:goodThat's especially true when the underdog finishes well.

Such a shame the body odour scandal ended up overshadowing the best HW fight in years:verysad

I had Huck winning by 2 rounds in a close fight. Huck really exposed Povetkin's lack of head movement and poor inside skills, had he been not so tentative in the first 2 rounds or if the damn ref had allowed them a chance to fight out of the clinches he would have got the decision.

I think this fight took a lot out of Huck. He seems to have regressed since this epic war. Not really surprising one warrior has lost a certain edge after this kind of fight. This night was probably Huck at his peak after a year where he really started to up his game. Looked a shadow of himself every fight since.
