As mentioned by Lebedev'd promoter the fight gonna happen on 99%, this December! Sure one of the most interesting lately in cruiser. Sure two great powers meeting each-other. As for me - Lebedev TKO middle rounds. nut:nut
Wow. Didn't think Huck would take this fight, especially considering him saying that Cunningham was his priority, and him saying he wasn't really interested at taking on Lebedev at this time. Should be a good fight. I'm probably against the grain a bit here, but I think Huck will beat him. Huck UD.
Huck in my estimation is too wild for a straight, hard puncher like Lebedev. His best chance is to swarm Lebedev, cutting down his punching distance and trying to use his size to wear him down in clinches. Pretty intriguing fight, if it's legit have to give Huck's team major credit.
huch is doing well, he's fought cunningham, afolabi and now lebedev. probs had a couple of other big fights i cant recount off top of my head
Great news. Kudos to Huck for taking on such a tough challenger and to Lebedev for going after a strong titlist. A Wlodarczyk fight would probably have been easier for him. I favor Lebedev here in a close, tough points or late KO victory.
Great fight, Huck has been quite active this year which is great to see from a beltholder, he doesn't seem afraid to take on tough competition either. His aggressive style should make for an exciting match with the more talented Lebedev.
this exactly. I'm not a Huck man per se but I like to see a champ fighting more than twice a year. though this time I think Lebedev is going to get a late stoppage. here's to hoping Lebedev fights often after this win too
Crazy fight. Not the most skilled fighters on the planet, but these two can punch like few other. Dear Lord, it's gonna be a fight! Huck is one puzze I'm yet to solve. He still looks extremely raw, even clumsy sometimes, yet when he pulls his **** together can be an accurate and devestating m*ther****er. You can separate his fights to two Marco Hucks, one with some nice ring smarts, excellent sense of distance, very good timing and shot placement and highly damaging combinations, that version is the best cruiserweight on the planet (20%), and there's the Huck who's taking a lot of time off, who does some silly things like rushing in and missing wildly, falling into punches etc, looking spent and on the verge of a nervous breakdown (80%), and the two Hucks fluctuate like Dr. Jekyll and Mr Hyde on crystal A-side meth. It's likely a mental thing, he just can't keep it together for very long. If not for Ulli Wegner who keeps Marco's head cool, IMO he'd be nowhere, yet there might be some crazy trainer out there who could find the correct mode and upload the right software. It wouldn't be fair to say it's Huck's fight to lose. We know he has the tools to dominate Lebedev, but we also know he doesn't have the consistency and the stamina. That's where it gets very interesting. Because Denis is the complete opposite, he's always in punching mode and uses his abilities, even though somewhat limited, to the maximum. These kind of match-ups make extremely fluctuating fights with a shift of momentum at every corner. Huck vs. Lebedev will win no beauty contest, but will be a throwback between two real punchers. If Huck can stay positive for most of the fight and not give up his straight punching even in those hard late rounds, he can do it on points. If however Lebedev can keep up the constant pressure and get closer and closer to Huck's chin, by the 8-9th round he could break the nutjob mentally and finish him. I don't have a clue which is closer to reality. I guess I'll just have to wait and see.
