Saw that he is scheduled to fight Yakup Saglam fight on the 16th of this month. Do you see Huck winning as expected and what do you make of his chances at heavyweight ?

Is he any worse than Bellew?

Yes Huck was obviously better for the most part of there careers but I believe Bellew has been the better of the 2 for a couple of years at least and I don't even know if Huck would have beaten Haye

At this point anyone with active hands, a bit of speed and decent skill can easily outpoint Huck. At heavyweight I could see Huck grabbing and mauling his way to ugly wins against some slower heavyweights. Could always have the Povetkin rematch.

So Huck loses to the undefeated Glowacki in a war, gets stopped and outpointed by Briedis and Usyk, maybe the two most skilled Cruiserweights on the planet who fought on even terms with one another, and now he's going to be easily outpointed? Huck inbetween those matches dominated Kucher from bell to bell and destroyed Ola Afolabi in their last encounter, for most fighters Huck is a handful and not an easy out for anyone.

Huck always gets underrated. Very crude even in his prime, sure. But he's a good fighter who held onto a top two spot at CW for quite a long time. I'll keep an eye on him for HW, though I certainly don't expect him to ever be vying for a spot in the top 10 (not like that is difficult at HW, but still).

Huck like Trout has been in too many back to back Ward and is now completely shot. I don't see him ever winning against top competition again.

Always makes me laugh how Povetkin is seen as this absoloute killer yet average cruiserweight Huck dragged him into the depths of hell

I agree with what you're saying here. But, with regards to the topic, I think if Huck was going to ever make any real noise at heavyweight, he would have stayed there after the Povetkin bout. And Huck did make noise in that bout, as it is - a very strong effort from him. I know his camp claimed that was always going to be a one-off type of deal, but I still wonder what may have happened had he won and/or fought a little more effectively.

I think Huck is terribly shot. And he is awfully mismanaged by his brother.

Huck and his brother concoted this plan to "Let's get out from this Sauerland slave contract, let's get our own TV deals, let's go to America and make millions". Well that backfired badly.

The move to HW is their last hurrah. And we now know Huck's chin isn't as good as it used to be. He was able to handle Povetkin's combos. I doubt he is able to take a solid HW punch in his current shot state.

I agree. It's a last role of the dice to see if a win or 2 can't land him a final decent payday. As I said above, if Huck was ever going to make any real noise at heavyweight, he would have remained there after giving Povetkin a good challenge.

Huck will leave the ring on a wheelbarrow as soon as he faces a real HW. He's completely shot mentally and just doesn't have it in him anymore. He's Cleverly if Clev decided to continue fighting.

Hopefully he remains on the Euro level club circuit where he belongs and away from all the top rated Heavies.

He'd even get stopped by the David Haye who Tony Bellew flattened twice. Huck against The Bomber?? lolol!
