I can see Floyd frustrating Manny by constantly making him miss and countering him like JMM did. Mayweather though is bigger and faster than Marquez and can hurt Pac easier. Hopefully Pac's pressure and punches for all angles will get through the great defense of Floyd but I just dont feel good about this one. Either way as a boxing fan I cannot wait!
maybe, maybe not. he can outpoint Pac or pac KHTFO. Which result is more eye-pleasing to the fans who says this fight will catapult boxing back to the mainstream?
Yeah, I give Pac a good change with Floyd but I still favor Floyd on that match. Pac's never met anybody with that defensive ability. But when's the last time Floyd fought someone like Manny? Neither has faced a man quite like the other, so it would be interesting. I have doubts about Manny's ability to really find him when Floyd will likely refused to square up on him the way Cotto did. Floyd doesn't give you much to hit. But if Manny finds him...really finds him...Could be some deep water that Floyd's never been in.
I think Floyd can KO pac too. Pac has a great chin but when you get hit with counter shots you dont see coming you can really get hurt. I see Floyd countering him all night.
I wouldn't mind either way, so long as the best fighter wins, be it by a masterful defensive/countering display by Mayweather, or Manny knocking him out, I'm usually more impressed by a great display of boxing skill though.
The funny thing is that people think if Pac takes what Cotto gave him, because Miguel is stronger than Floyd, Pac will take whatever Mayweather can give him. But if brute force was all there was to knockouts, Ali wouldn't be the only man to ever stop George Foreman and the only to stop Oscar Bonavena. Precision, opportunism, technique, velocity, all account for knockout ability. That's how Floyd got Hatton.
I see him countering pac on the early rounds. But thats about it, when Pac adjusts and learns that Floyd cant hurt him (i believe Cotto punches a lot harder than PBF) he's gonna go to "destroy mode". Floyds' gonna feel it, and he'll start running. No way he KO's Pac.
Cotto may well punch harder than floyd, but he punched pac so rarely after the third round it was irrelevant. PBF doesnt have one punch KO power by any means, and I'm fed up betting against manny because I always end up wrong, but to say PBF cant hurt pac because his punches dont carry as much force as cotto is nonsense. Agree with boxed ears. Punch accumulation is as important as punching power. Its was accumulation that got margarito against cotto, and almost pavlik against the not particularly heavy handed hopkins.
Like I said I am a huge pac fan and have thought he would win every single fight he was in...until now. Floyd is on a completely different level than anyone Pac has fought. Vice versa also though.
