Everyone is praising Pac, and rightfully so, but I think we should also give credit for Keith Thurman as well! After getting KD he didn’t run or hold, instead he held his own, didn’t quit even after getting hurt badly, and landed some bombs on Manny. I’ve always admired him as a fighter and I think he should be commended for his efforts. He was just in the ring with a legend tonight.

Hope he comes back soon and not let this loss affect him. People may find him annoying but you have to admit he is a fan friendly fighter and comes off as a respectful guy post fight. Hats off to you One Time!

Definitely. It doesn't seem like the loss will effect him at all negatively. Seen time and time again where insecure fighters will claim they got robbed or has many excuses after a loss. Was surprised he handled his first L so well, absolutely 0 excuses and acknowledging his short comings RIGHT AFTER the fight. Seems like the type of dude to study tape and work on his flaws and comes back more complete

He was a gentleman in defeat. That's usually what happens when someone kicks your ass.

A lot of young undefeated fighters should take a page out of Thurman. So many fighters nowadays are so content with protecting that 0 without taking risks and when they do lose that 0 they’ll just whine and complain that they got robbed. But not Thurman. He showed that a loss can be a blessing in disguise. He’ll be back.

Just watched it and was gonna say similar. Keith came to fight. In the 10th, when he took that bodyshot... sucked it up and came back fighting.

Keith did adjust well in the middle of the fight.
He countered Pac quite frequently too.
Made him ear big right hands.
I think Keith is still a top WW even after this loss.
Pac's speed and power was just too much for him to tonight, that is all.

See that’s a good mentality! Also being 40 and still taking on top guys in his division is even more admirable!

Meanwhile in the world of The iv kid...

I'm happy for Pacquiao that he won, but I do feel that the KD won Pacquiao the fight. I feel that Thurman was on course to taking out round 1 but after the KD, he took a while to recover from it and ended up losing the first 6 rounds of the fight in the process. If Thurman had closed out round 1, I feel that he would have probably gone on to win in the process. Still, well done to Pacquiao.

Crawford will beat Thurman far easier than Manny did, different level.

I thought Thurman fought rather dumb and gave the fight away early because of underestimating Manny. Thurman was the harder puncher and he could have picked his shots a little more and not been as reckless, and that knockdown affected the early part of the fight and the win for Manny by taking the momentum and many of the early rounds. The end of the fight showed Keith could hit Manny once Manny tired a little, but also had that knockdown not happened I think Keith wins a few more early rounds and wins more of the later rounds and the decision. That decision to underestimate Pacman hurt him. People will say Manny would not have been as tired later had Keith not pressed it, but the early part he was more reckless then later when he picked his shots and worked the body. I noticed the punchstats were won by Keith.

This is one of the cleanest fight you can see. No running, no holding.
