I remember that clearly. And the 1st thing i thought was you gutless clown. Why would he be grinning with glee just because GSP was knocked out by Serra and high fiving like he`d just won the lottery? Shame on him as his fans in the UFC have figured him out.GSP got a much better ovation whilst Hughes was a mixture of boo`s.The guy has no class. He was lucky GSP never tore his arm off with that armbar.

It looks like Hughes was screaming "Help, help" over and over. Man, that's too funny. I'd feel bad if he wasn't such a schmuck.

Well, as I mentioned in another thread, Hughes claimed afterwards that the reason he was so happy is that he really wanted to fight Serra considering the bad blood between them.
Who knows if he actually meant that or if he just said it after the fact so it didn't look like he was happy he wouldn't have to fight GSP again.

It doesn't matter he's exact reason when a guy get's KO'd and he was celebrating like he won the lottery he was disrespecting a guy who lost.....and now I can disrespect him in the same way......I love watching his face scream....almost as much as he cheered when GSP was KO'd

I'm just pointing out what he said. And yes, I agree it did come off as rather disrespectful.
I have trouble disrespecting Hughes after that loss, though. I've never much cared for the guy, but he got beat down so bad I kind of felt myself feeling bad for him. Hmm, never thought that would happen!
And he was quite gracious in the post-fight interview so I'm going to cut him some slack.

I'm the exact same. I wanted St. Pierre to dominate him, and after he did, when Matt admitted that George was just a better fighter, I felt bad.

The image of the greatest UFC welterweight champion screaming to the ref for help while he is in pain is truly a sad thing to watch, no matter who you wanted to win. It is the end of an era.

you have to give him credit for even taking the fight....after their second fight it sure didn't look good...I would still like to see him and Serra go at it......still might happen

I think Serra/Hughes will happen no matter what. If Serra beats GSP (big if), then Hughes will get a shot at Serra. And if he doesn't, it still makes sense to pit him and Hughes against each other. It'll be a anticipated fight whether it's for the belt or not.
