Interesting, if it does happen Fury isn't going to stand there and slug it out so he might prove tricky if he boxes and moves. But I'd expect AJ to catch up with him sooner or later.
Well. I don't think Hughie would be a step down for Joshua. Hughie did noticeable better than Breazeale against Kassi. Hughie completely shut him down, while Breazeale did let him slip through sometimes. But being better than Breazeale means nothing. That guy was just bad. Like everyone else on Joshua's resume. Neither Breazeale, nor Martin, nor even Whyte had any respectable wins between them. And although I don't rate Joshua highly, he was clearly a level above Breazeale. It was a mismatch. So in the sea of human garbage, Joshua is swimming at the top, and Hughie still needs to prove he's not at the bottom with Breazeale.
Hughie would probably be the opponent that lasted longer against Joshua, if he isn't too unhealthy; Still i don't see him reaching the end of the fight, let alone win it
Hughie is a pretty good mover but I don't think he has the strength or power needed really. He'll get walked down and stopped
Naw, this is the kind of silly hype I am talking about. The Brezeale and Whyte fights show that he has about 8.5 power.
Personally, I have not any rational reason to hype Joshua. I will never agree with you about his punching power. He is one of the five hardest hitting boxer nowadays. It is evident; perhaps he is No. 1, but I am not sure 100 %. Klitschko, Ortiz, Haye, Wilder and AJ are on the top.
But you are hyping him beyond all rationality. As you yourself said, the Youtube videos exist, and anyone can from the Brezeale and Whyte fights that his power is NOT 10 out of ten. All right. The evidence is firmly on my side. But whatever. Certainly true, but there is a dearth of heavy handed heavies right now, so its not saying a lot. Probably hits harder than Wilder whose power is dramatically overrated. The others are debatable. He has to do better against even mediocre opposition before I would mention him in the same breath as Wladdy. Post-Klit Povetkin and Browne are also comparable, although who knows how much of their power is artificial? I guess the same could be said for any of them. 8.5 until he can starch the Whytes and Brezeale's of the world.
Catchwtboxing, we have already agreed that AJ is among five hardest hitting active boxers. I would like to see you on this forum in a year to see who was right about the rest of this thread...I have to mention : AJ had some fights before Martin and Breazeale, opposition was not on the top level, but everoyone can see his power.
only when he struggles in fights they pull the 'he's sick card' out. He's just not that good. Decent skills but with no power. He's british - euro level tops. If he gets offered this fight he might take it as a cash out. Peter Fury is very wary of Joshua. He knows what a monster he really is.
Most of the posts here are exactly what people thought of TYSON FURY's chances against Wladimir last year. No power, no chance, Wlad walks him down sooner or later and KO's him. In fact, Tyson Fury was even handicapped by a "glass chin" too. Hughie's chin isn't proven glass yet. And AJ is no Wlad.
