Move over Paul Smith! Hughie Fury is going to fight Sam Sẹxton at May 12 for the Lonsdale belt, and he believes he's going to become a heavyweight champion in the future.

Against the right opponent he actually could become a world champion.

I had him winning the Parker fight, and I think he'd school some guys in the top 15 like Dillian Whyte, Lucas Browne, Dominic Breazeale..

Gotta remember this guy is still only 23!

he has great natural talent but needs to add a little more offence to his game. Hughie at the moment is still a nightmare opponent for ANYBODY, unfortunately he is also a nightmare to watch.

In the current state of the HW scene he will likely go on to be world level, in fairness.

Shades of Ali is actually pretty skilled, very good defensive jab and good distance control. He came close against Parker but he needs to be much more aggressive and not just play tag.

I'm not convinced he's got enough aggression or power in him to get a belt. But I like the lad so I hope gets another shot.

After stinking out the joint last time out he will have to earn his next opportunity. His very negative style will do him no favors. If he can sit down on his punches and be more active maybe he could break through, but that will make him more hittable.

Yes I agree he’s part of the worlds epidermis layer and yes he’s considered a professional fighter.

Due to the abysmal state of the division I have to agree.

From what I've seen thus far, he has a fairly high
ceiling considering what the division looks like.

Weird, him and Tyson should both be clumsy, lumbering
giants but they're both twinkle toes guys..........
A gigantic, big man that moves well is very hard to
beat. Look at Lennox and Vitali.

Slick Hughie fury beat Parker but the powers that be didn't want him on top.

Id love to see wilder vs slick Hughie fury, he would be swinging at air all night, would probably dislocate both his shoulders

I'd like to see Shades of Ali vs. Ali Kabayel.

I think he will struggle to get top level opposition. He's very difficult to look good against. Parker looked to have regressed just by virtue of being in a ring with him.

He's not good to watch, but he's elusive, can score, at least if he ups the number of punches thrown and thus he's dangerous. He's also unlikely to generate a big box office return. So I think promoters will be reluctant to match their fighters against him, unless he can force mandatories on them.

Hughie got the movement right, he just forgot to punch. Hard not to give it Parker I thought. A fight I will never watch again anyways !
