I could see Hughie making AJ look bad, but that is about it. He's far too passive offensively to beat Joshua.

Hughie is a legit 6'4.5", has a chin, and is a mobile fighter, so I can see him giving Joshua trouble and even taking Joshua the distance. I see Hughie getting hit with a good shot from Joshua and then going negative the rest of the fight.

Haha not bad, but to be fair you'd do that to any non-matchroom fighter.

FWIW, I think Hughie does give AJ trouble if they ever did fight and I would like to see the fight personally. He'd get criticised for it as most HW boxing fans don't appreciate movement but AJ hasn't been in with someone like Hughie before and Parker barely caught Hughie clean all night. It's just a shame for Hughie that he didn't throw anything meaningful back.

I appreciate back foot fighting but you better be styling on your opponent like BJS did Lemieux, want you to school them. Not run around the ring for 12 rounds only throwing a jab, the great backfoot fighters Pernell, SRL, Floyd knew when it was time to sit down on there punches and threw stuff to keep you of them. Hughie didn’t do that, like you said he threw no meaningful shot and even though I thought he beat Parker I couldn’t complain coz he was way to negative.

He called him a devastating puncher the other day.

Hughie couldn't bust a ****ing grape.

Hughie doesn't deserve any respect because HE TOOK STEROIDS and he has avoided most of the bigger fights offered to him. And when he finally got his shot, he ran from Parker like Parker had the plague haha. it was an eyesore of a fight. The first time Hearn offered Fury a fight with AJ, Fury scoffed at the money. Even though it was more than he'd ever made to the point (Hmm kind of like how Wilder did to the 15 million). Fury is a decent fighter, but until he gets some pop on his punches (without the juice to help) he will always be a fringe contender.

I think he is trolling, it’s well known Hughie couldn’t punch his way out of paper bag. Funnily enough I think he can sting you with shots if he wasn’t concentrating on moving all the time but he is way too safety first, he better rectify this issue before the Pulev fight coz you don’t wanna be in a jab contest with Pulev, that’s his bread and butter.

Hughie knows he isn't even on Joshuas radar so he is being the big guy, I could actually imagine Peter and a few other furys trying to persuade a petrified Hughie out the dressing room if they fought.

    Forgot his a drug cheat.

Movement alone does not win fights. You have to punch. Hughie Fury would not be prepared to engage with AJ.

I do believe he wants the fight or else he wouldnt be fighting an eliminator. However him coming out with these statements is laughable imo.

He must be trolling, he's tipped Joshua to lose every flight since I started the forum.

For what it's worth, I thought Hughie Fury looked great against Sam Sexton. By that I mean Fury seemed like he was finally maturing ... he seemed like he'd filled out more physically and he was punching harder. He wasn't so much the pimply, super thin kid he always came across as.

He seemed like he was more of a grown man.

And if he adds power to his boxing skills, he could be REALLY good.

He JUST turned 24 a week ago.

I'm struggling to work out if this is some high level trolling or not ?

He might have been the audience's worst nightmare maybe, but that was before there was a possibility of a future Joshua vs Okolie fight. :scared1
