Hughie has only lost to top 10 fighters but has never beatem a top 30 fighter.

Kuzmin or Zhang would be good fight options next for Hughie considering their both ranked.

Domestic level heavyweight Hughie is. And like said before, nothing wrong with that. The clip above of him blasting Sexton was a beauty of a counter right hand. But in against world class he is a different boxer. Put him in with the not so young anymore Luis Ortiz and I think Hughie loses badly. Ortiz is just an example btw, not saying the fight should be made.

Yeah Hughie is not that successful, but I have to give him credit for not being KOd by the big fights he's had. He survived Parker, Pulev and even Povetkin. He's trying and not looking for weak fights if possible. Still young and got experience from his big fights. He may make it to a title shot one day.

I think one of his biggest flaws is the right hand.

Well, he's got good height, reach, footwork, defence, chin, courage and way more top level experience than anyone his age.
He's gone the distance with two gold medallists (old but still chugging along).
So it's not like he's got nothing.

He just has the worst 'top' trainer ever seen, a guy that trained him in a certain style then blamed the fighter for this 'terrible style' when it didn't work at top level. What he really needs is a fallout with Meth so he can get a better trainer. Tyson has commented (and others too) that he himself never had enough proper foundation work, and he got away with it. Well, he still had more than Hughie, with a few other trainers outside the family circle. Seems like Hughie just got stuck with his father and doesn't have Tyson's flair to get away with it so far.

I feel like Hughie needs be made angry. Great skills but his offensive fighting is turd!

all that stupid showboating in the corner looking to catch pulev like he did sexton whilst down on the cards and a bad cut was poor

Hughie Fury is a decent spoiler and durable opponent at World and upper European level.

But he should stick at British level. He should probably have fought Dubois and Joyce in 2018/'19 when he was British champion and they were very green in the pro ranks, instead of facing Pulev and Povetkin.
Now he'd struggle to get back in the domestic title mix even.

Give Hughie more time, he's young. A baby, he's been kicking ass before now he's getting his man strength. He beats Hrgovic imo

Still better than Wilder. Look at his resume...

Losses to Parker, Pulev and Povetkin.

Wilder would also have been 0-3 against that opposition.

You should cheer Hughie for those fights and shame Wilder for avoiding the same.

Hard to believe that during the dark days of the Klits some where saying Hugh was better than his cousin, and possibly a future champ. He does have great fundamentals, but no power to speak of. He just doesn't have enough to keep good opponents honest.

Hey, does anyone know if Hughie and Tyson speak anymore?

Hughie's a great fighter. So long as he doesn't fight anyone whose surname begins with the letter P he should prevail.
