He had a slow moving pulev coming towards him all night and I have no idea why couldnt jab hum to bits, he wasn't throwing it, physically weak and that clumsy right hand was absolutely shite couldn't a barn door with it. He knew he had to push the fight in Bulgaria and he didnt, why didn't he try to push pulev back and jump on him and hurt him, he was outhustled and uncomfortable all night, real champs don't let that happen, they don't let the fight turn into a gentleman's posturing fest, I don't know what Peter was saying but he should of told his son to take his ****ing head off, fight like a man who wants to fight the man, don't dance, fight!! Very frustrating to watch and a terrible fight, congrats to pulev but he's going to KO'd very fast by Joshua.
I think Peter did tell him, he said so in the interview with IFL after that he needed to go out there and put it on him, unfortunately Hughie didn't have it in him..Hughie is way off to what I thought he was tbh, I actually think he's regressed
Yeh I do as well. There was no skill there, just because he one shotted sexton he tries luring pulev in to the right that's all he was doing, no jab no plan, nothing. Pulev is obviously a very handy fighter but very robotic and predictable, fury is supposed to be flash slick and talented. He won't learn much from the fight because he didn't test himself at all, he didn't get out of gear 1. Has he even got a second gear?
I honestly don't know where to start with him, it was terrible. I think he just might be actually **** !
I thought Pulev was going to beat Hughie Fury for this exact reason, look at my post history if you don't believe me.
I don't think lack of aggression was the real problem he tried to be more aggressive but he wasn't allowed to be aggressive because Pulev just put him in a headlock most of the time Fury tried to push forward. And why was that? Well that's what Puelv does all the time vs aggression and Hughie came in with his head low inviting the headlock. Everyone knows how Pulev fights, he's a jab and clincher, you go at him, he'll tie you up and Hughie simply didn't prepare for that which means the blame lies at the feet of his father and trainer. He should of been trained to handle the clinches by not ducking low and utilising an elbow to push Pulev off when he clinches. Hughie's flaws have been exposed twice now, he doesn't have the skill set at this level. He'll need to do something different to move pass this.
Hughie fury looks like he needs to hit the weight/power training. Pulev was able to constantly walk him down without fear of getting stopped. He looked so feather fisted.
He looked terrible last night. Im sure Pulev was plenty to do with that but he just looked terrible all round.
His footwork and balance is all over the place. He needs a drastic change to his style , bring his hands up for starters and maximize his reach. David Haye gave him some good tips on how to improve last night
Fury telegraphs his right hand with a slight backward movement before he throws it. His footwork is an absolute mess, crossing his feet at times leaving himself out of position. His lateral movement is "turn and walk" when it should be "slide, step, slide." And he is so right lateral it's like he's incapable of leftward movement. Who is training this kid? And fighting tall doesn't mean leaning back. All Pulev had to do was come forward and Fury was off balance. He's so technically off he needs to fire everyone and get a seasoned pro and start from scratch.
I think Pulev was too Wiley/Crafty, Old manned Fury. 16 year age difference debatable positive or negative in this case between these two particular fighters. I missed from the third round on lol but maybe seemed Pulev was taking way Hughie's right hand? Seemed Pulev too crafty, idk I gotta finish the fight because only one card had it close
