Hughie Fury is not agressive enough

Hughie has come out to "no stopping us now" how cool if Haye became Hughie's trainer

 

Pulev was just too good for him.Maybe Fury didn't expected that after 18 month of inactivity, Pulev will be better than Parker.

 

He is weak minded, i think. He has ducked many fights and im putting it down to him not believing in himself.

 

I think he is absolutely delusional. There are a lot of people like Hughie. They 100% believe in themselves, but they freeze on the occasion. It's overconfidence that is masking low confidence.

 

Hughie also doesn't have a left hook, and that's the punch that Klitschko knocked Pulev out with and KJ and Chisora had success with. Very odd, seems like still in the prospect stage and this is what happens when a prospect is rushed too fast but then his fans don't respect the development process in the sport so take these L's and hold them tight to your chest.

 

Why didn't fury use his jab ? Pulev was plodding forward hands wide apart ? The one two down the pipe would of been effective.Terrible fight

 

I don't recall him throwing any straight shots. Looping right hand all night which pulev could see coming from a mile off

 

reading the comments and noting all the things hughie needs to fix, the same question just keeps resonating... why not just start with a whole different fighter?

Hughie Fury could be a decent gatekeeper for the heavyweight division. He's not top class, but he's not a bum either - his skills are okay.

But he does seem to lack aggressiveness, somewhat like Kevin Johnson.

 

He reminds me of Dimitrenko. There's a certain skill level you can't deny but he lacks the ambition and grit to make it to the top 10.

 

Hughie is mentally too weak and doesnt have a killer instinct, plus he lacks the athleticism and boxing skill to beat a top 20 HW.

Just look at that telegraphed right hand he was throwing too- absolutely horrendous in terms of form and shows a lack of fundamental boxing skill. Alot of people are tricked because he has the foot movement and ability to make an opponent miss, but thats ALL he really has that is elite.

You need a hell of a lot more than that to beat a top 20 HW. Pulev outclassed him in a boxing match on the end of a jab. Parker out hustled him by showing more determinationa and landing the heavier blows.

Now that aint going to magically change as he gets older.

Alot of people want to overlook very fundamental characteristics and weaknesses just because he is 24. His age is completely irrelevant.
